PB wreath

Hello peeps and a warm welcome to my new followers.
I've had a rather topsy turvy week (and  I DO like order in my life) so am rather glad it's the weekend. Hope you all have something nice planned (that doesn't involve fighting hoards of Christmas shoppers!!)

I have a CAS card to share with you today.

The image is from the PB set Christmas Friends, which I haven't used nearly enough this year (still time though!!).

This was coloured with my lovely Promarkers and stuck to the backing paper with Pinflair glue gel for dimension. A sentiment and a couple of regal gold card candi and there you have it!!

Horse/House work beckons and Martin is working today so I may get a little time to get some future DT cards done.

You will find this little chap at these challenges

A Three Piece Suite

Hello all, it's me...LIVE, sorry you've had to put up with me twice in one day but I really didn't want to miss a final challenge entry at
particularly as it's taken almost a week to put this together as I've been in and out of work...grrrrrrr!!

A close up of the little chap to show the texture too!

I found the fabulous papers in Wilko together with the additional trimmings (including the bow which I have stupidly covered with my watermark...doh!!). I decided upon an easel for a change, which I covered in aforesaid papers. The lovely little image was a Birdie Brown one. I cut strips of the papers to make the rosettes and backed the larger one with a Marianne die cut so the tag can be written on. It can of course be pegged to the gift bag!! (12x12 paper from my stash and another wilko strip)

You will also find this trio at these challenges

Here come the boys #65 - Sentiment only (It does spell JOY!!)
Crafty Cats #208 - Tags & bags
Just Inspirational - Rosettes
Inky Impressions #136 - Presents and Gifts
Divas by Design - Something Red (? artistic licence!!?)
Stampin for the weekend - Feeling Festive
Sweet Pea Stampers - Lots of texture (pleats, embossed circle, flowersoft on hat & stocking)

TTFN, thanks for coming to see me xx

AYLI DT Card

Good morning peeps and a warm welcome to a new challenge at

An easy one this time. We would like you to share your favourite digi stamp (and don't forget you MUST tell us why!). Re-phrase that actually, as it was NOT an easy task for me to choose I can tell you!! However, of late I have been using Heather Ellis images so deduced from this that they MUST be my "current" favourite!!

Here it is

I paper pieced the dress on this little cutie using Pink Paislee Prairie Hill papers. The rest of the image was coloured (as usual) with Promarkers and the background sponged with tumbled glass DI pad. It's actually a very special card as it was for my lovely Team Mate Carol's 21st (Plus P&P!!) Birthday last week so do pop over and give her some belated Birthday wishes.

I am joining in with these great challenges

Challenges 4 Everybody #34 - Anything goes #2
Aud Sentiments #94 - Any Sentiment
Sister Act #34
Digi sketch Challenge - Paper Piecing
Creative Fingers #12 - Anything goes (Optional use metal - pewter brad)

That's all for now folks. Hope you will play along with us this time, use a digi and tell us WHY it's your favourite ...simples!! xx

Ribbon & Lace

All being well, this will hit blogland while I am at work!! Early start and late finish on Tuesdays :0(

I am sharing my Oldie But A Goodie DT card with you today as it's the start of a new challenge. I'm sure you can lay your hands on some Ribbon and Lace and join in with us...just remember that  you need to tell us which item on your project is older than six months.

Without further ado here is what I made...

Isn't she sweet!? I bought this little Cuddly Buddly cutie last year so it was nice to see her again. She was coloured with Promarkers. The little bit of digi Christmas pudding paper was lurking at the bottom of my Christmas stash hamper - too perfect to miss, although I don't remember where it came from but have a suspicion that it was from a CD rom that I had many years ago!! The ribbon and crochet lace came from my stash and I added glossy accents to the little sentiment, although it's not really very clear.

I am playing along at these challenges

Chalenges 4 Everybody #34 - Anything Goes
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge #152 - For a Child
Fab 'n' Funky - Anything Goes
Pixie's Snippet Playground Challenge #100
Creative Card Crew #50 - Sweet treats

Thanks ever so much for visiting me and for your thoughtful comments.

See you soon xx

Create a Scene

Morning Campers!! Monday kicks off with a new challenge starting at

and this time we would like you to " Create A Scene"

So we would like you to create a background that goes with an image in the foreground.....i.e. a cloud background, or  grass and flowers or how about a  snowy scene  etc.  As long as your image has some form of a scene around it you’ll be fine.

Our challenge is sponsored by the wonderful

http://www.stampandcreate.com/

and as you can see one lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher for there online store

My word... did that get the cogs whirring?! However, I was "accidentally" buying more digi stamps and  inspiration struck and here is my little contribution.

I tore three different papers from the same collection to create the background and then stickled all the edges for a bit of sparkle, which sadly doesn't translate well in the photograph :0(  Little Clementine and Donny were coloured with Promarkers, fussy cut and then stuck to the background. With hindsight I should have raised them on 3d foam for some dimension, but never mind!! The sentiment is from a Sheena Douglass set. Ooh nearly forgot to mention the tree that I adorned with lots of teeny tiny sparkly gems .

A pair of little cuties indeed!! My teamies have been hard at it too, so for more inspiration pop over and have a look...you won't be disappointed. Do remember though that your card must be CUTE in order to play along.

I am joining in here

Charisma Cardz #46 - Christmas Anything Goes
Crafty Hands Challenge #3 - Sparkle and Bling
Allsorts #234 - Bring on the Bling

I know it's Monday but have a good one whatever you are doing!! xx

Not a card

Hello my lovely crafty buddies, long time no see!! Hope you are well and keeping warm!! My little bit of Dorset is bathed in sunshine as I write this so I daresay we will be in for another frosty night.

Anyhow, I have a wall hanging to share with you today. I felt like creating something less "flat" so decided to make something for me with lots of dimension ...and postage doesn't matter because it is staying right here!!

Here it is...

I had a bit of a "winnage" at the beginning of the month and the fabulous prize was a spend at Tiddly Inks
so this was the first outing for the lovely Winter Wryn. I coloured her, as usual with my Promarkers to match the lovely paper from Digichick (I can lose days drooling over the fabulous papers!!). The mulberry roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts (it's been months since I've dusted off the flower basket!!) and the little wooden snowflake was a magazine freebie years ago!!

.

I then tethered a kraft snowflake with twine and made a rosette with a gingham scrap and used a little die to mount the sentiment on to. Finally to add a little weight I attached a snowflake charm to the end of the twine and added a hanger using some seam binding ribbon.

I have found some challenges to play along with

Clear it Out challenge - Theme - Anything Goes, Stash - Snowflake
Just Inspirational  - Use a Wooden Embellishment (snowflake)
Cute Card Thursday #296 - Anything but a card
Passion For Promarkers #225 - Check it out
Created with Love Challenge #67 - Anything Goes
Divas by Design - Make it Pretty
Inky Impressions #135 - Hat, scarf and gloves

Thanks for stopping by. You are always welcome here!!

Toodles for now xx

Little angels...

Hello from a damp and dull Dorset. Chilly too this morning, not much fun to ride out in so we had a blast around the field...not bad for a pair of middle aged girlies!!

Just a quick post before I start on normal stuff, like ironing, cooking lunch and planning meals for next week...oh how I don't want to go back to work tomorrow :0(

This is the result of an amalgamation of several challenges. I thought I had lost this sweet stamp forever but found it among some scraps of  paper so was thrilled to bits as it's the only angelic stamp I own. I coloured them to match the Nitwits papers and that's about it apart from some glitter added to their halos and wings.

The inspiration came from these challenges

Crafty Little Fairies - Top of the Pops
(Gene Pitney - Looking through the eyes of Love, you can tell I was a child of the 60/70's as Mum and Dad listened to Gene Pitney...a LOT. I can do a mean version of Liberty Valance if I've had enough red!!)
Winter Wonderland - Angels or Fairies
A Gem Of A Challenge #106 - Purple & Turquoise
The Squirrel and The Fox #57 - Use Violet in support of Sacha

Whatever you are doing I hope it's a good day.
Thanks for visiting me, I appreciate your time and your lovely comments xx

A little gift...

Hello one and all and I hope your weekend is going well.
I have been busy this morning trying to burn off the three courses that we had for lunch yesterday (Hubby persuaded me not to have Fish & Chips!!). Still, it was a very nice lunch and it was a special occasion - well that's my excuse!!

I have a door hanger to share with you today that I have been making over the past few days. It's for Sampson, who is the Grandson of one of the ladies who keeps her horses here. Sam quite often comes to the stables with his Grandma and likes to give Surprise a goodnight kiss...bless!!
So this will be a little  festive gift from Surprise.

I used some heavy weight board that, I think, came in the post as protection for some papers. I cut it to
3"x 6" , rounded the top corners and used a SB die to cut the hole. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and matted on coloured and kraft card. The papers are Doodlebug Home for the Holidays, again, and I used the lovely Jenny's tip and photocopied the papers so that I could cover the back too. I raided my ribbon basket and fastened the bundle and three little bells with a button and twine.

I am joining in with these challenges

Digistamp Boutique - November customer competition

Crafty Ribbons #70 - Anything Goes
Allsorts #233    - Make a gift
MAWTT - Furry Friends

Thanks for stopping by and also for your lovely comments xx

Duck the Halls...!

Hello one and all. Friday at last and I hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend.
Martin and I are off out for lunch today to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary ( I WAS a child bride...honest!!) so we are looking forward to some good food. That said, we did have a "bit" of a spend at the beginning of the week so perhaps  Fish and Chips will fit the bill!!

Anyway Sarah stop waffling!! I have a different (for me!) card to share today with NO stamping AND  I have unearthed the sewing machine too. Ta da...here it is...

I've had this Yuletide Wishes CD Rom for some time and although I love the images hadn't actually got around to making anything as it somehow seems like cheating. So I gave myself a slap on the wrist and what the heck...I've nothing to prove so I set to and created this. The decoupage and papers were from the same set so that was an easy match. I then zig-zag stitched the four pieces together onto the backing card and then did running stitch all the way around (pats self on the back!!) to attach to the card base. A few sparkly gems and job done. I'm really rather pleased and the sentiment made me chuckle. Now that the sewing machine is out of hiding I suppose I really should construct the skirt pieces that I've had pinned and tacked for nearly three years...oops, then again it won't be summer for a few months yet so perhaps I'll save it for when the light is better!!

You will find my stitchy card here

Just Inspirational - Stitching

Toodles for now and thanks ever so much for your lovely comments,
I appreciate you spending time with me xx

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello my crafty buddies.

I've had a really self indulgent morning...a lovely ride this morning (it was nearly light when we set out at 7!!) and then a little bit of crafty therapy, I know "another" Christmas card but I can't help myself, I have so much stash that needs an airing it would be rude not to!!

 Anyway this is the result...

Another of the lovely Heather Ellis images...they are so lovely to colour (with my PM's of course!) and, I think, always look fresh. I used the lovely Nordic Christmas paper pad  and a LOTV sentiment. Oops nearly forgot to mention the  SB snowflake die cut, which I snipped in half to balance the card.

I am playing along with these inspirational challenges

Holly Jolly - O' Christmas Tree
ABC Christmas - "W" for Winter Wishes
Inky Impressions #134 - Red and Green
I Love Promarkers #194 - Red and Green

Better go and check on Surprise and the others, they are confined to barracks today as the Hunt are meeting close by so I prefer them to be in their stables rather than tearing around their paddocks with the likelihood of causing injury to themselves (crazy creatures that they are!!). We also take the opportunity to get the hedges cut so I had better also have a quick reconnoitre  and check for any gaps. Don't know why I told you that really!!

Anyway, TTFN and thanks for your time xx

Spots or stripes?

Hello lovely peeps and today I  am sharing my DT card for the new challenge at

We have a decision for you to make this time "Spots or Stripes?".
I had to resort to eeny meeny miney mo as I could not choose
(shock, horror, like picking your favourite child!!)  Spots won!!

All the stamps came from the 2012 Molly Bloom's Christmas Magazine/kit. The base is simply an A6 tent kraft card.  I covered the frame ( from a Which Craft UK  card blank) with spotted papers from the same kit and coloured Molly  and the holly with sepia shades of Promarkers and Copics. I enjoyed playing with my embossing powders so much the other week that I decided to do the same with the little "joy" stamp and made a little copper badge. Hope you like my unusual card. I do hope that you will take some inspiration and come to play along with us...we'd love to see you!!

I am playing along here

Winter Wonderland - For a Child
Ladybug Crafts Ink - Get Krafty (use kraft cardstock)

Thanks for stopping by, I'm always happy to have your company xx

I'm dreamin' of........

Hello lovely peeps...I'm back, in real life! I hope everyone is well and having a good week.
We have had a few lovely days out and about but Hubby has gone back to work for a couple of days and is then off again on Friday so I must make the most of available time to do a bit of blogging!! ( he still doesn't get it!!). I seem to be in Christmas card mode at present, I just can't seem to get inspiration for any other occasions! So, I have another white creation to share with you today inspired by lots of white/snowy challenges which I shall be joining in with.

This was simply a cut and stick creation and a bit of embellishing with stickles, glamour dust and liquid pearls. The poinsettia was die cut in felt using my SB die and the card finished off with a LOTV sentiment. Another fairly flat for posting card, to add to the ever growing mountain.

These challenges inspired me

Christmas Stamping All Year Long # 41- Winter Warmth (use felt)
Allsorts #232 - White Christmas
Christmas at Sweet Stampin'  - White on White
Creative Corner Challenges - Sing, sing a song (White Christmas)
Creative Inspirations #240 - White on White
Songbird #28 - White Christmas

Off to make up some card bases before the light starts to go.

I appreciate your company xx

Little Cutie

Happy Monday my crafty friends and I hope this week will be a good one for you. A week off for me and the Hubby has managed to drag himself away from work for a couple of days too!!

It's time again for a new challenge at

Our new challenge theme is "Little Cuties (babies and very little peoples)"
and  is sponsored by

one lucky winner will win 3 of the wonderful Digi stamps from Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet to the value of $10

This is what I did...

I used a really cute image and coloured him with Promarkers. The papers were distressed (and so was I by the time I'd finished that lot!!) and matted on to kraft (also distresed!!). I had a root around in my button box and found a couple that matched perfectly and finished off with two stamped sentiments.

You will find this little chap here...

365 cards - Men in blue
Do hope that you will join in, we'd love to have you!!

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate you! xx

Shades of Autumn

Hello you lovely peeps and I hope you are well this Friday.
I have an autumn inspired card to share with you which seems apt as it certainly looks and feels like autumn today. The leaves are finally changing colour now, although the fields are still emerald green as you can see...

We never take this view for granted and thank our lucky stars every day for the privilege of living in such beautiful surroundings.

Anyway on with the card...

I discovered a centre stepper card (from somewhere!) and decided to use it as a change from square. I used this lovely image as I thought she could actually be sweeping leaves. The lovely papers are called Harvest Blessings and the sentiment was stamped on a scrap of tan card. She was, of course, coloured with Promarkers except the hair which was coloured with Graph' it markers that I bought back along.

I am entering these challenges

My Mum's Craft Shop #11 - Autumn Colours
Digi Haven - Fall
Stampin' for the Weekend - Autumn Colours
Aud Sentiments - Feminine

Well that's it for now. I shall be out and about for a few days as Hubby is off too, so I shall see you soon.Have a good weekend whatever you are up to xx

Red and Green

Hello everyone and a warm welcome to my new followers. Happy to have you along!!

Dare I say it...it's lovely here in Dorset today and it's the start of a week's holiday for me so all is well in the world!! I did all my stable/field and household chores and paid a visit to the supermarket this morning then put this card together on my return (don't I know how to push the boat out!!)

The little cutie was coloured with Promarkers to match the stripy paper. I glittered her collar and cuffs and the lantern for a bit of twinkle. This time I got out the old Spellbinders poinsettia dies and used silver as an accent and popped it on top of a red and green ribbon.

I am joining in with these challenges

Ceated with Love #65 - Christmas, red and green
Holly Jolly - Red & Green + silver
CRAFT #232 - Christmas
I Love Promarkers #193 - All that glitters

A Very "Grown Up" Christmas

Helloo my fellow bloggers. Been super busy at work so not so much crafty time and it's too dark at night for colouring :0(.
However, I did get out some mica powders for a play last weekend and this was the result.

The centre of the stampendous stamp is framed perfectly by my favourite spellbinders fancy oval die so that was the starting point. I finally broke open my Silent Night papers (well it's ridiculous to just stroke and look at them really!!).

I used Imagination Crafts mica powder mixed with water for the sky
and some pale blue and white seam binding for the bow.
Oh, nearly forgot the snowflake die too...Joy crafts if my memory serves me correctly.

I would like to play along at these challenges

Winter Wonderland - Blue and White
ALBC - Sparkle and Shine
Stamping Sensations - Christmas
Heck of a Challenge - In the Frame
Imagination Crafts #5 - Glitter & Sparkle
LEJ Designs #78 - Monochromatic

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it xx

Yuletide Blessings

Hello my blogging friends and I hope Sunday finds you well. The sun is with us, here in Dorset, at the moment, although it does feel cooler than of late. There were lots of fireworks going off last night so sleep was somewhat disturbed, they were very pretty to look at out of the window though!!

I have another Christmas card to share today, again, inspired by some challenges.

I covered a shaped card with Annabel's Christmas papers. Being thrifty, I embossed what was left of yesterday's centura pearl card with a darice snowflake embossing folder.  Marianne and spellbinders dies to create the layered poinsettias and various dies for the foliage. I tied ribbons in between the flowers to add some texture and finished off with a papermania bow.

This is where the inspiration came from

White Christmas...

Happy Weekend everyone!! I have a Christmas card to share with you today and shock, horror, it doesn't have any stamping. I was inspired by several of the current challenges in blogland and thought I'd have a go. A much better photograph today. I took it outside yesterday afternoon (in the usual spot!!) when it was quite bright. I did have company though while trying to take it!!

"Her Ladyship" aka Surprise looking over the garden gate and "asking" (ever so politely mind you) to go into her nice cosy stable. I did tell Hubby that we were asking for trouble when we extended her paddock around the house!! Anyway here's my card...

I arranged and cut several different snowflake dies  into snow white centura pearl. Then cut the same shapes from white glitter card and stuck  them back in, like a jigsaw. Easy peasy!!

I am entering these challenges today (thanks for the inspiration)

Holly Jolly - White on White
MAWTT - No papers
Christmas cards all year round - November Challenge, Snow

Have a lovely Saturday and see you soon xx

PS. The rug was clean when she went out yesterday morning, the little bu**er tends to find the muddiest patches in the field and rolls like her life depends on it!! I'm sure it's because she thinks I like grooming her!!

Anniversary

Hello my crafty friends. Hope you have had a good week.

Martin and I celebrate our Wedding Anniversary  this month so I have been beavering away making him a card. I apologise in advance for the shoddy photography...it's so dull here today.

It seems that Teddy Bo images have passed me by before now, but I have rectified that by buying my very first one!!  The card blank is also another first. I covered the card with Krafty Notes papers and coloured the bears to match, stupidly, before I had cut the circle with my cutter. I made a boo boo, hence the distressed edge!! The sentiment is from a MFT set and the buttons came from my stash.

You will find this couple at the following challenges

Crafty Little Fairies - For the one you Love
I Love Promarkers #192 - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew #48 - Teddy Bear Picnic
Party Time Tuesday #144 - Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts #191 - Button it up

Thank you for coming to visit, it's always good to see you xx
