Bunny pudding

Two firsts for me to share today, my first ever Bebunni stamp and my first attempt at colouring on kraft, I am so impressed with both that I'm sure it won't be the last time either!!

Here's why...

The cute stamped image was so easy to colour and I was amazed at how my Pro/Flexmarkers glided over the surface of the card. Colouring the cream/brandy sauce was the only problem, which I solved by getting out a pack of little used pens that I bought from QVC a very long time ago (American Crafts Galaxy Markers, they are still available here). They work brilliantly on black and dark card and, as you can see, did the job on kraft too. The sentiment was part of the set (along with lots of others) which I stamped on to a die cut  tag to go with the ribbon.

I would like to enter these challenges

Daisy, Daisy

Hello my crafty buddies. Hope you have something nice planned for the weekend (if you aren't working that is). Rain yesterday meant that I HAD to do a bit of crafting and this is what I did.

I used a Whimsy stamp (Crown of Daisies) that I coloured with Promarkers and pencils. Her little dress cried out to be paper pieced which I did using a Pink Petticoat digi paper. I embossed the frame to continue the spotty theme. Such a pretty little summer scene as it should be in reality, although it looks like more spits and spots again today :0(

We are off to play at these lovely challenges

Penny's #183 - Embossing
Sweet Stamps #175 -  Summer
Chocolate, Coffee #68 - Summer Days
Fussy and Fancy #117 - Summertime
Allsorts #265 - Summer Girls
Sweet Stampin' - Summer Fun
MAWTT - Birthdays, Bunting & Buttons (Birthday & Button)

Have a good one!! xx

Tag along...

...and have a look at what I've made this time!!

A while back I came across a lovely shop named Hope and Chances. There are some lovely things there including regular Charity Kits, the proceeds of which go to Ronald McDonald House Camberwell, if you read her blog you will see why. Anyway several months ago I bought such a kit and when it arrived I just didn't know where to start as it was so far removed from my usual papercrafting. So, it's sat there staring at me until yesterday when I set to and had a bash at my first ever tag book.

Here it is and I hope you like it...

I used all the components but inked the edges and used some of my own papers to compliment the rest.

I inked the edges just for a little definition

Me just about to take a chunk out of the Hubster while we were at Portland Bill on Sunday!! Not bad for a middle aged selfie.....oh youth is wasted on the young!!

This paper already had the text on it and I snipped some banners from the waste.

Having completed it I must now set to and make up the most recent kit which is three little wooden tags, so look out for those in the future!!

I am proudly taking my tags to play at these challenges

Charisma Cardz #14 - Show us what else you can do?...a tag book
NBUS #1 - Friendship (My very best one is my DH!!)

Looks like the rain is on it's way so I am off to mow the lawn beforehand. It will be nice not to have to water pots, baskets and planters though!!

Thanks for coming by and enjoy the rest of your day xx

New Challenge...New Baby!!

Morning folks, me again with another DT card, this time

Our theme chosen by Alison is Baby and she has put together a fab bundle of stamps as the prize for the winner.

Here's what I did

I used an LOTV sketch (#8), Bo Bunny Pincushion papers and coloured the sweet LOTV stamp to match. It was one of those "not sure if I like it" cards, but I think it's growing on me now I've blogged it!! Almost forgot to say my old goodies are the stamp, the ribbon and the flower.

We'd love to see you, remember though that something must be older than six months in order to qualify!!

I would like to participate in these challenges

Sister Act #62
AGOAC #122 - For aChild (Suitable for a Baby or Child)

Thank you for your visit and continued encouragement, however I can't seem to return the compliment as my reading list is only showing one blog !! Hope it's playing nicely again soon. xx

Girls, Girls, Girls!!

Hello my crafty friends, old and new!!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed plenty of sunshine.

Another Monday has come around so I am here to make a noise about the new challenge  at

and it's an easy peasy one.... CUTE Girls, Girls, Girls!!

Our sponsor is the wonderful Heather Ellis.

Here's my cutie....

... I used some MME papers and a LOTV sketch (again!!) to show off the sweet image (PI 023 but couldn't find her in the shop). She was coloured with Promarkers ( incidentally I was going to put white spots on her dress...looks like I forgot!!).

The other Cutie Pies have done a fab job showcasing their girly cards too and they would love to see you!!

I would like to enter these challenges

Aud Sentiments #109 - Two Word Sentiment
Brown Sugar #99 - Dots and/or stripes
Creative Fingers #40 - Anything Goes

Have a good week peeps!! xx

Here comes another...

...Christmas card that is. Before I do anything else I will apologise for the utterly rubbish photograph.  My preference is a tent card and I usually design the layout accordingly, however, on this occasion the image didn't work in that orientation so I had to revert to the old book style, hence the wonky photo. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!

The sweet little stamp (LMM - All the Trimmings) was coloured with Promarkers. The papers were in my scraps box, two are Nitwits for sure but the provenance of the gingham is unknown!! The die cuts were lucky finds that were included with an order from Tracy at DTDF.

I am taking this little Christmas creation to play at these great challenges

Divas by Design - 3 or more layers
Christmas Card challenge #29 - 3 or more papers
Rhedd & Rosie #35 - Anything Goes

Hope your day is a good one xx

Favourite Die Day

Hellooo, good morning and welcome!! There is a new challenge theme at

As You Like It Challenge

and it's Your favourite die (don't forget to tell us why)

A trawl through my posts revealed that my tonic dies have featured largely in the months that I have owned them. I can only attribute this to the fabulous range of sizes in the set, large enough for a card base (as demonstrated above) yet teeny ones for the centre of flowers too.
I chose to use my much loved, yet largely ignored, PB stamp and coloured it with Spectrum Noir pencils (it has to be said I am enjoying using these) and added some glamour dust for a bit of sparkle. The papers were the LOTV magazine freebies. Bow and flower from the stash.

I am joining in at these challenges

PB & More June Challenge - Favourite stamp
Natalie & Amy #21 - Four legged friends
Sprinkle & Sparkle - Anything Goes
Crafty Cardmakers & More #117 - Going round in circles

We'd love it if you shared your creations featuring your favourite dies, you'll be made most welcome!!

See you soon xx

A floral arrangement!!

Morning peeps. I finally gave in and made one of these popular 3d pop up box jobbys. It was born from a sift through my scrap box and armed with bits a pieces of pink papers this is what I did...

Some of the scraps are nitwits, some were magazine freebies and I have a sneaking suspicion some were MME, so a smorgasbord of scraps!!

I used a Die-namics  set for the flowers and various leafy dies and finished with some seam binding bows and pearls and gems from my stash.

I have to say that although the actual body of the box was easy to make the cutting, faffing and arranging took yonks!! However, I am pleased with my efforts and hope that the Friend for whom it was made will be pleased too when she gets it

I would like to enter these brilliant challenges

Creative Fingers #39 - Anything Goes
Crafty Girls #20 - Anything Goes
In the Pink #46 -  Flower Garden

That's me for today. Thanks for stopping by and for the lovely comments on my recent work. xx

Oh no...Monday again, such a lovely weekend too, never mind at the rate time flies at the moment it will be the weekend again before we know it!!

Before I scoot off to work I have this little chap to share. I have been really enjoying making male flavour cards at the moment and this little LOTV Tree House one was no exception.

I used Spectrum Noir pens and pencils to colour him with a bit of tumbled glass DI behind the image.

AGOAC #121 - Gingham ribbon and/or paper

What a hoot!!

Happy Saturday everyone, let's hope that the sun will continue to shine for a little longer, it's been nice getting the legs out of hibernation!!

I was having a bit of a tidy up and found an unused Woodware stamp set that came with a magazine ages ago so I thought I'd do a bit of paper piecing for a change.

The papers were also with a magazine and the fab ribbon was in an "Owl" bundle that I won over at Crafty Ribbons.  So apart from the card blank it was a freebie!!

I am entering these challenges

Fussy 'n' Fancy #116 - Things with wings
Crafting by Designs - Happy Birthday
Crafty Ribbons #93 - Anything Goes + Ribbon
Crafty Girls #20 - Anything Goes
We Do Doobadoo #7 - Different Shapes

A bag!!

Hello peeps, I hope you are well this morning, looks like we have another nice day in store, fingers crossed. I have a hankering for Banoffee Pie so think I shall have a little kitchen session later on. For now though I have a bag to share with you.

The pattern was in the most recent C&C Members magazine, and as I was so pleased with how the scottie dog turned out I thought I would give it a go.

It was relatively quick and easy to make, although the higgledy piggledy band at the top did have me flummoxed for a bit, but my sewing  "partner in crime" Kim had explained previously how it, and the lining worked!!

I would like to enter the following challenges

All Crafts Challenge - Anything Goes But NO Cards
Anything But A Card - Summer Lovin'
(just about the size for Factor 20, sunglasses and a kindle!!)

A furry Christmas

Wednesday already...where does the time go?! Yes Janice and Sam (and the others who were fooled when blogger posted this on Sunday) it really is this time!!

I have had a productive time and have a Christmas card to share with you today.

Another Lee Holland digi (although I can't seem to find her in the shop). She and her bunny were coloured with Pro/Flexmarkers and seemed to lend themselves to CAS. The sentiment was computer generated.

I am joining in these challenges

Thanks for your continued support, I love to hear what you have to say about my work and appreciate your kindness xx

It's a man thing

Morning all. Here I am, again, this time with my DT contribution for

Oldie But A Goodie

Our theme this fortnight, chosen by Helen  is

Fathers Day/Masculine.

I decided to go with the "Masculine" and used a Meljen digi coloured with Pro/Flexmarkers to compliment the, quite frankly, fabulous papers. This is my first attempt at a Dutch Fold Card and was surprised at how easy it was to make. The "old" items used,  in addition to the digi, were my sentiment stamps.

I am joining in here

Creative Card Crew #63 - Nautical
MilkCoffee - Dad or Special Male
C.R.A.F.T #262 - Father's Day/Male
Open minded crafting fun #12 - Something with wings
Craft your passion #217 - Fathers Day/One for the boys

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comments, they are always appreciated xx

A Cutie for Dad

Happy Monday my crafty friends and I hope you are well and had an enjoyable weekend.
The weather was kind to us in Dorset (after the horrendous thunderstorms) and we managed to get all the pots, planters and baskets out of the greenhouse at last.

Today I am sharing a little " Dad" number for the new challenge at

With Fathers Day looming we are inviting you to share your

  CUTE Father's Day cards

Here's mine...

using a fabulous image from our Sponsor Bugaboo.

http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

I colored him with Promarkers to match the brilliant paper from my scrap box, which I think was from digichick. The sentiment was computer generated mounted on to complimentary cardstock.

We are off to play at these challenges

Ladybug - Something for the Boys and/or use dies
Fab 'n' Funky #219 - Men
I LOVE Promarkers #222 - Digi Does it (image and papers)
Aud Sentiments #108 - For a Guy

We have lots and lots of rabbits in our surrounding hedgerows and this cheeky little trio happen to be my favourites...they are so bold too, not at all worried by the dog or the horses, never mind us!! They are also partial to my granny bonnets!!

Wishing you a good week xx

P.S Apparently Night Scented Stocks are a delicacy too, I seem to have one missing from my newly sited planters!!

Red, white and blue...

Evening, I've managed to sneak out to blog a card that I made a couple of days ago. Hubby is watching cricket so the coast is clear for a minute or two!! I've earned a bit of indulgence anyway!! We had all our external doors replaced on Wednesday (while it was blowing a gale!!) so the wood over the garage and porch looked tatty all of a sudden, so we have both been up a ladder treating the wood and enjoying the warm weather !!

I used a scalloped card blank for a change. The papers are Maja Design and I coloured the little lady to match. I coloured seam binding (ombre style with two shades of blue...ooh get me!!) to match the papers and just added some pearls. She is for the following challenges...

Divas by Design - Red, White and Blue
Stampin for the weekend - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping in and have a lovely weekend xx

Just a little something...

Helloo...me again, this time to tell you about the June Challenge over at

Crafty Little Fairies. We would love for you to show us your spots and stripes!!

Here's mine...

...another fairly simple card coloured with pencils this time. The Uptown Girl stamp was a joy to colour and the paper and image were mounted on kraft card.

We'd love to have you play along and don't forget you have a month to do so. Have a rummage and hook out those spotty and stripey papers!!

I am entering these challenges

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Little Claire #45 - Spots & Stripes
Sister Act #59

That's it for today. See you after the weekend, it's Hubby's Birthday on Sunday ( and hopefully he won't be working) so there's every chance we will be out and about!!

Take Care xx

Lumps and bumps we DO want to see...embossing!!

Happy Thursday...nearly the weekend but first a new challenge at

As You Like It and the clue is in the title....emboss it!!

Remember to tell us WHY the embossing type you choose is your favourite.

Our sponsor is Lee Hillustrations and I used the lovely Girl with Flower, coloured with Promarkers. Isn't she pretty!? To enhance that prettiness I used a spotty embossing folder to create a CAS card which has interest but simplicity. The daisy die was part of my spend from Squirrel's Candy voucher (thanks again!!) and a perfect little addition to the sentiment and tag .

We are off to play here...

Crafty Catz #233 - Anything Goes
Fussy and Fancy #115 - Outdoors
Crafting from the heart ~21 - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Perfectly Pink

Bye for now, I'll be back in a bit with another spotty creation!! xx

A bit of shabby bashing!!

Evening all. Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. We have enjoyed a dry couple of days, although not particularly sunny but have been able to get outside. I did manage a bit of crafty time though and here's what I did...a little "shabby" number.

I am a huge fan of the LOTV sketches so  #6 was my starting point this time using the fabulous Welcome Baby papers, which I bashed up a bit!! My stamp was coloured with Pro/Flexmarkers to match the papers and I frantaged my birdcage die and added seam binding too. I dabbed Frayed Burlap and Tattered Rose, using an old natural sponge, around the image to add to the aged look and finished off with a couple of LOTV tag sentiments and flowers

I am going along to these challenges

Papercrafting Journey - Perfect in Pink
Crafts 4 Eternity#178 - Tic,tac,toe
(Ribbon, Birthday, Die cuts)
In the Pink #45 - Shabby Chic/Vintage

Thank you for stopping by xx
