A little bit of love

Hello everyone. Hope you are well this weekend and have some craftiness planned.

I have a little bit of love to share today using another fabulous Cuddly Buddly digi, and she is called Made with Love. I had every intention of using a knitted effect digi paper from the Silent Night pack but once coloured up decided that she should be centre stage so just used a scrap of spotty pink paper from my scraps box.

There are one or two "love" inspired challenges that I would like to play along with

Little Miss Muffettt challenges #103 - All you need is love
C.R.A.F.T #296 - Valentines Day/Love
Aud Sentiments #124 - Valentine or love sentiment

Enjoy your weekend

Shiny or matt? That is the question...

at the new

I chose matt as it appears on pretty much every one of my creations. I have a few sheets of card with a pearl lustre to them and at Christmas I use mirri board but even then I will still have a matt mat!!
I think it gives a more defined and true colour and I always print any digital papers on to matt paper/card for a touch of luxury.

I used a matt ribbed card in steel grey for the card base and mats on this card. I used Clementine with her watering can and daisies to coordinate with the totally gorgeous Pink Petticoat papers and finished off with pearls, a little sentiment and a spotty bow.

I'd like to enter these challenges

Sweet Stampin' - Cute and Cuddly
Craft Your Passion #246 - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap  - Anything Goes
Cards Galore - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and for your words of encouragement, I really appreciate them xx

A cute Snail?!

Hello everyone.

Just popping in to share my first attempt at amigurumi (can't even say it let alone spell it!!).
I was so pleased with the finished result that I just had to share it!!

I used another Happy Berry freebie pattern together with her "crochet along" Youtube video.

Have a lovely Sunday whatever you are doing and see you soon xx

Something different

While having the annual clean up of my work room I "found" quite a few forgotten die sets and thought I should have a play to try and kick start my flagging mojo (it's suffering from the January blues at the moment!!). Anyway here is the first attempt...oh and not an image in sight which was a bit of a struggle!!

I used MFT Blueprints 14 and hand cut black mats to accentuate the bright colours.
The pretty paper was in my scrap box together with the offcuts of red left over from Christmas cards.

I would like to play at these challenges

Craft Your Passion #245 - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Get in shape

Enjoy your day and thanks for sharing it with me xx

Spring on a card

Hello friends, I hope you are well and have had a good weekend wherever you are in the world. We awoke to a hard frost that quickly revealed wall to wall blue sky so made the most of it and headed off to Broadchurch West Bay for a stroll, it was mighty cold but beautiful and we warmed up with a coffee and a danish pastry!!

Before I jump in the bath and get settled ready for Call the Midwife I just want to share a card inspired by several challenges that I put together using a LOTV stamp that I bought well over a year ago and have taken it out and put it back that many times I've lost count!! Anyway here it is coloured with Promarkers...spring on a card!!

Favourite Embossing Folder

Hello you lovely people and I hope the week has been good to you.

There's a new challenge at As You Like It today and we have dusted off our favourite embossing folders.

My first die cutting machine was my Cuttlebug which came with dies and embossing folders and Swiss Dots was one of them. It has always been a firm favourite as it is so versatile and can be used on any type of card or project to add a bit of interest...as in this case!!

I used a sweet Bildmalarna stamp and coloured the tulip to coordinate with the spotty ribbon and coloured card. The sentiment is from LOTV.

I hope you stayed safe in the storms last night, I had a most terrifying night :0( The curses of living half way up a hill. After decamping to the guest room I think I managed a total or 2 hours sleep. Still all is well this morning and the stables and barns survived the night!! Looks like we are in for heavy snow next week....oh joy!!

Anyway less of the weather report...oops, got sidetracked a bit there!! Hope you will find time to bring along your embossing folders we always have a great sponsor and this time is no exception as it's

I am entering these challenges if I may...

White on White

Happy Monday friends and I hope you are well and raring to go.

I am here today with my DT card for a new challenge over at

The Cutie Pie Challenge and its White on White
(As cute as can be though!!)

Now then, I am not of a nervous disposition but this theme really knocked the wind out of my sails but being the stoic girl that I am I dug deep and came up with this...

I had Bobbi printed out ready to go, so coloured him up with Promarkers, cut him out with my new SB oval set and used a fine liner to join the dots for the faux stitching. I made the card base using my new SB Couture Spring Orchard set and also embossed for some interest. Out came the cheesecloth and flowers that do incidentally look quite white in real life. I was tempted to whiten them up a bit more with white acrylic paint but then remembered when I had seen the effect using gesso it reminded me of bird poo, so used a tickle of star dust stickles instead!! (I apologise if I have offended any crafty peeps who do use white paint/gesso accents!!). The banner stamp set and associated die was a pre Christmas  buy from Craft Mojo  and the sheer spotted ribbon from my stash.

Loads of you out there do such a great job of the WOW style so we'd love you to join in this month.

Maggie

Hello crafters, lovely to see you on this dismal Saturday. I managed to get a little time to play with some new  stash and in the absence of Mr Mojo, called for the help in the form of a LOTV sketch, they always do the trick!!

The layout was made up with papers from my Curiosity Corner paper pack and darling Maggie coloured with Promarkers to match. IO butterflies cut in the same paper and some butterfly ribbon
to finish off.

A challenge or two...

Crafting Cafe - Lots of Layers
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Girly but no pink
The Sugar Bowl #120 - Anything Goes
Crafty Gals Corner #1 - Anything Goes

Get Well Wishes

Hello my crafty friends. I really hope that you are all OK but for those of you feeling under par here is a card to cheer your day.

It's my first 2015 piece for Kim's Cuddly Buddly Digi Stamp Team and what a cutie it is too!! I really enjoyed colouring this snuggly bunny with my Promarkers to compliment the papers that were in my bits box. I also happened upon a scrap of vellum that I die cut and embossed using
Marianne's Lace Edging, on reflection perhaps I should have added some yellow trim to "anchor" it a little. The sentiment is from the Greetings postmarks set by LOTV.

I'm not quite sure what happened but my mojo did a disappearing act over the festive period, I think it's because it's been so dull and dreary that I just couldn't muster any enthusiasm for anything, even Surprise has had a holiday. Anyway, hopefully that will be rectified by the delivery of several purchases (accidental you understand!!) enabled by the generosity of Father Christmas!!

Some Challenges

ABC Challenge - A for Anything Goes
Buckwell's Crafty Challenge - Anything Goes
Ladybug challenge - Say it with flowers
Love to Create #148 - Anything Goes
Pixie's Snippets Playground ~158

Righty ho, better go get spruced up for work!!

Have a good day whatever you are up to xx

Christmas Card #1

Hello again!! My New Year's resolution last year was to make a Christmas card every month, which to be fair, I managed for a few months. This year will be a cinch as I am thrilled and delighted beyond words to be a new DT member of

and I'm back to share my debut offering!!

The fabulous jumper was stamped onto knitted effect paper and I then paper pieced the (Promarker coloured) reindeer and fashioned a bauble using circle dies. The ribbon was colour matched with a Promarker and the sentiment stamped onto a scrap of knitted paper too.

So then, before you put away your Christmas stamps, papers and dies (and stuff that you have bought in the sales and are dying to try out!!) our challenge theme is easy peasy Anything Goes and lasts a month so you have plenty of time!!

A Challenge or two...

Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge #209 - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Anything Goes

See you soon xx

New Year, New Challenge...

Happy New Year everyone, wherever you are in the world!!

If you are reading this at 8am UK time, well done, you clearly had an early night...like me!! For the rest of you "stop outs" I hope you had a really good night!!

Anyway as the title says New Year, New Challenge and that is what I am here to share today, my first DT piece for 2015

and it's all about your favourite shape or card fold and don't forget to tell us WHY?

My favourite alternative card shape is the stepper card and although I usually make my own I came across a larger ready made one in my stash that suited the scene I had in my head using our sponsor's image. I coloured her with Promarkers and stuck her on a SB die cut mat. I used a cloud embossing folder smeared with a tumbled glass ink pad before running through the GC and was mighty chuffed with the result, I'll be doing that again!! Fence by Marianne dies and the tags (which I didn't mean to cover up!!) from LOTV.

Some challenges to join in

Divas by Design - Anything Goes
I love Promarkers #250 - Anything Goes

While I am here I would like to wish you all a healthy and happy 2015.
