Bird Watching

Hello folks, hope that everyone is enjoying a good weekend. It is positively bucketing  down with rain here, long overdue actually. What a strange week its been here in the UK, freezing cold nights and hard frosts, one morning the gates were frozen and I had to boil the kettle to defrost the stable yard tap!!

Anyway my card shows anything but rain or frost, it's my inspiration piece for Sasayaki Glitter and is called Bird Watching.

I used some old MME papers and set about creating a little scene for the sweet image.
It's not actually the card that I am showcasing on the inspiration blog, I somehow deleted the photograph from my DT folder and cannot get a copy as I have already sent the card, so all in all a disaster!! Never mind, worse things happen at sea and all that, however, if you are interested you can see the other card here.

Thank you for your visit and continued support, it is much appreciated xx

Christmas with the Cuties

Hello and welcome to another new week and also to another new theme at

I loved this new theme Add some Holly as it was the perfect opportunity to air a new die set that I bought in the Crafters Companion New Year Sale.

Our sponsor is Sasayaki Glitter and I used Girl and Puppy in the snow,
coloured with Promarkers, to compliment the Holly patterned paper.

Well, that's another card added to the Christmas box. Hope you will join in and add to your festive greeting card pile...it is only eight months away after all.....just saying!!

Wishing you all a good week xx

AYLI Favourite Colour

Hello friends, it's Thursday which means it's time for the latest challenge to kick off at

Another easy one  your FAVOURITE COLOUR

I am one of those people that really doesn't have a favourite colour as such so I did the sensible thing and trawled back through my cards to have a bit of a tally. Shock...horror...PINK is my favourite/most used colour!! So I made this just to prove the point!!

I was in a CAS mood and just had to play with my new Hunky Dory stamp set, Doodlebug paper pad and Lawn Fawn die set. I was so pleased with the result and have just the person in mind to send it to when the time comes.

I have a bit of time on my side as I am waiting for the end of year reports to print so am able to have a chat and share some photographs.

Spring is well and truly under way here in Dorset, our daily walks/rides are fragrant by way of the lovely bluebells and wild garlic that has started to appear. The pheasants are much bolder now that the shooting season is over and there are deer all over the place which is a worry because they appear through the hedge causing Surprise to jump and the dogs pick up the scent and get giddy with excitement!! Our rabbit family have come out of their winter burrows and are now making themselves at home on the lawn, again causing much excitement for Bowie and Bumble and frequent coffee spillage for me as I tend to throw it all over myself when they bark...little b*ggers darlings!!

Bumble and Bowie very wet from the morning dew.

Hope to see you soon xx

Bunnies and Chicks

Hello everyone. Another lovely Monday and the start of a short couple of working weeks too!! Not only that it's the start of the April challenge at

We want to see cute BUNNIES & CHICKS

Time has been in short supply again so I took the advantage of a pre-coloured image by our sponsor Pink Gem Designs. She went particularly well with some papers from
The Lovely Studio. I finished it off with a seam binding bow and one of the sweet postmark sentiments from LOTV (which I am unable to locate on the website!!) and a pearly thing. It would be lovely to see you if you have a cute card to share featuring a bunny, chick or even both!!

Before I go here are some bluebells for Lucy...not quite a carpet, just yet, but at least it is a start!! They smell gorgeous  too as I walk or ride by.

See you soon  xx

It's all about the shape at AYLI!!

We are all about the shape at As You Like It today. An easy peasy theme so do join in and don't forget to give your reasons.

I chose 15cm x15cm. I love symmetry and balance on my cards and although I use my "frilly" die a fair bit I am never really 100% happy.

It's Declan's Birthday today and this is (obviously!!) for him. I have been itching to have a play with one of LOTV's printable sheets and as time was short this was the perfect opportunity. I was really pleased and teamed the image up with papers from a Joy Crafts pad. My new letter dies also got an airing...really pleased with them. He works incredibly long hours and I know he has arranged to have today off to spend with Mollie and Chelsea so I hope he will manage to "take the weight off" just like the little fella on his card.

Thank you for your visit today and if I haven't managed to visit you for a day or two I promise to rectify that very soon!!

Have a good one xx
