Favourite colour Combo - AYLI

Hello friends, I have my DT card today for

We would love to see your creations showing off your favourite colour combo.
Here is mine and they are pink and green which I suspect is one of Mother Natures
favourites too...they just go!!

Our sponsor is Polkadoodles and I used an image from my own Winnie Springtime CDrom. My Promarkers were used again to colour her and the papers were from The Range.

Thank you for your company this week. See you the other side of the weekend!!

A very fancy fold!!

You know yesterday I said I managed a bit of crafty indulgence over the weekend, well it was inspired by the new challenge at Allsorts. I am ashamed to say that it has been a while since I have entered any of their challenges as work commitments meant I only had time for DT pieces, most of which weren't suitable. So when I saw the Fancy Folds challenge this week that was inspiration enough for me to make time to play and here is what I made.

and a side view...ish

and this rubbish picture shows how it will look when it comes out of the envelope

Like the one I shared last week it looks complicated but in actual fact is very easy.
The beauty is that it is flat for posting and yet stands centre stage in the mantelpiece!!
I have also been itching to have a go at colouring on kraft again and was inspired by Jules and her lovely work in Quick Cards Made Easy.

Here are the measurements if you fancy having a go!!

You need card stock 11" long and about 4" wide. Score the long edge at 1",  2.75", 3.75", 5.50", 7.25", 8.25" and 10". Cut a slot along the 5.50" (halfway score) leaving half an inch either side so that your mat can fit through. Score and fold, decorate a 5" x 3" mat, making sure it is one layer only otherwise it won't slide through, poke it through the slot between the flaps inside and secure with wet glue or extra sticky tape. If my instructions are pants  (!!!) I am sure you will find demos on YouTube!!

If you are still with me, thank you !! See you Thursday xx

Favourite Festive Digi

Morning campers!! Hope you had a good weekend, mine was as predicted!! I even managed a bit of crafty indulgence which I will share tomorrow.

Anyway, it's Christmas time again!! Not really, but it is time for a new challenge at

Christmas With The Cuties

where it's Favourite "CUTE" Festive Digi

I used an image from our sponsor, Paper Nest Dolls,  and here is what I made.

This is Christmas Angel, coloured with Promarkers. The papers were free with a magazine last Christmas time, I think. I stickled her wings for a bit of festive frosting and the sentiment tags are good old LOTV.

It would be lovely to see your Cute Christmas cards!!

Toodles for now and I will be back tomorrow, all being well xx

Making Frosty friends

Happy Friday everyone and I hope you have something nice planned for the coming weekend. Martin is working so it will be pottering about here for me, spending some time with Surprise, dog walking, lawn mowing (if the rain stops!) and maybe even some housework...I said maybe!!

Anyway, I was inspired by a DT card that my lovely friend Lisa shared in support of
Sweet Sketch Wednesday and thought I would join in so here is my card.

Most of you will know that I am a bit seriously  partial to a paper pad or three and I recently subscribed to Craftwork Cards' Julie Loves monthly boxes and this Christmas collection was my first delivery. It's gorgeous as you can see!! The snowlady was stamped using a Lawn Fawn set Making Frosty Friends and was coloured with SN Illustrator markers.

Another Christmas card made!!

Thank you for stopping by xx

Reading Time

Happy Thursday folks, yet another week has rolled around and the weekend is in sight. Before that though I am here in DT mode for Sasayaki Glitter with Reading Time. She is one of the older characters and actually one of my favourites.

I made a pop-up slider card this time which looks very impressive but is really easy to make. The image was coloured with Promarkers and attached to the card base which I made using cardstock and candi from Craftwork Cards that came in a mega Hedgerow pack. The stamped sentiment is also from a Craftwork Cards set craft which I can't find on their site now :0(

Here is a side view so you get the gist!!

Well, that's all from me for now. Thank you for your continued support and lovely comments which are always welcome. Take care xx

Pearls or Gems?...you decide!!

Hello, me again and quite unusual these days. How I wish I had time to make cards to blog for the sake of it and not just DT work. Thankfully this is my last week of holiday cover for a month so fingers crossed!!

We have a new challenge at

where the theme is Pearls or Gems?

For me it has to be pearls, you can get such a wonderful selection of colours these days ( I have tried to colour white ones with Promarkers but it's never been particularly successful!!). they add a lovely finishing touch to all styles of cards whether elaborate or simple...like mine today.

Now, this little piggy is part of an MFT set that I bought a long time ago, I have a collection of pigs you see and just had to have it and it has remained uninked until now!! Sound familiar?!! I was inspired by a design that I found on Pinterest one day. I fussy cut him myself and coloured him with Promarkers. See what I mean about the pearls...just right!!

Before I go I must share a picture of the fur babies, we have had them a year now, how that time has flown. They have grown into truly delightful dogs and in spite of their voracious appetites for "Walkies" and digging in my precious lawn they are well and truly established as the bosses and completely in charge!!

I love comparing then and now!!

I really am going now. Take Care xx

Here come the girls

It's Cutie Pie Challenge time today and our theme is

Here Come The Girls

Crafty Sentiments are sponsoring this challenge and we were supplied with images to use. This one is Emmi Loo - Just Me, isn't she cute?!!

I printed her out on the lightest setting in order to try the "no lines" look with my Promarkers. I think it actually worked, to a degree!! The pretty papers are Marianne Design Peach and Mint. I faffed about with the white mats but am actually quite pleased with the look. Do hope that you will join us with your Cute girlie makes.

See you later in the week xx

Meg and Kitty - Sasayaki DT

Hello everyone. hope you are all well and that life is being good to you. It's my turn to share some inspiration at Sasayaki Glitter today and I chose Meg in her summer attire. I used her about this time last year here if you want a look!! Anyway here she is with her ice cream!!

She is such a sweet character and I broke open a paper pad that fell into my basket during a visit to The Range some time ago (I must be due another visit I reckon!!). I chose Promarkers to match and used one of Jules' sketches. Apologies for the shadows but THE SUN IS SHINING and I think it looks rather nice in dappled light.

Speaking of sun, I am very excited that, as we had a paddock unoccupied, we have made some hay this year ( sad...I know...I am easily pleased, what can I say?!!). There is nothing quite like the sweet smell of a good bale of hay, it's quite intoxicating, unless you are a hayfever sufferer of course :0(

Anyway, that is me for today. Toodles until next time xx
