Christmas With The Cutie Pies

So the  Christmas with the Cuties gang are back from our winter break and the first challenge of the year is everyone's favourite

Anything Goes

Here is my inspiration for you. Such a cute image from Di's digis that I coloured with my Promarkers. The papers are from one of the Craftwork Cards Julie Loves kits and the ribbon just happened to be a perfect  match too...really it is, although the photograph doesn't show it!!

If you look closely you can see that I even machine stitched the mats too...get me!!  I know Mothering Sunday and Easter are looming but I do hope you will find time for a Christmas make!!

We had a lovely weekend if bitterly cold and frosty. The dogs were like yetis after our walks. Here is a frosty Bowie, a dreadful photo but he wouldn' t stay still. And yes, he always has hair like Boris Johnson!!

I can't wait to see what they look like later in the week if we get the snow that has been forecast!!

I hope this will be a good week for you whatever is in store.

See you on Thursday  xx

Lunch time

I have a little Easter card to share with you today featuring

I coloured her with my Lyra pencils and blending solution for a change as I think the softness suits the sweet bunny.

I can't believe the weekend is nearly upon us again. I am on annual leave this week and have had a shopping trip with a friend, a visit to the cinema to see The Greatest Showman, which I loved, (Connor accompanied me and I think it was the third or fourth time he had seen it!! ) Wednesday was a home day and today we have done a bit of fencing...as you do !! Lunch out tomorrow and then the weekend will be upon us again. Where does the time go !!

Until next time xx

Pop up box card

Hello everyone, I hope this finds you well. Late in the day for me, I know but I wanted to enter some challenges with my project.

I had been debating "should I or shouldn't I?" for some time about investing in the Lawn Fawn pop up box set and in the end decided that I should!!
So, here is my first attempt.

I used a Craftwork Cards pad for the panels and used a very old floral border die for the blooms which I cut in four spring colours and then snipped and put back together ( I do hope that this satisfies the handmade criteria at Allsorts , if not please feel free to delete me!!). The grass is an icicle die, upside down 😁

This creation made me feel very light hearted and optimistic about the forthcoming spring, in fact it has been glorious here in Dorset today!! I have a feeling the dry weather is here to stay but the temperatures are due to plummet...at least the rain  has stopped, fingers crossed.

That's all for now, see you later in the week xx

AYLI - Ways to add a sentiment

Hello friends, another fortnight has whizzed by so I am here to encourage you to join in with the new challenge at

This is a good one!! We would like to see the way you like to add a sentiment to your project and tell us why.

I always used to stay safe and stamp on a label or banner just in case it went wrong!! However,  I bought a stamping platform and that has all changed, I am brave enough to stamp direct on my project because if you make a boo boo you can stamp again and again  without smudges...ace!!

So, here is my card and not a cute image in sight!!

I decided that I needed some grown up stamp sets in my stash so treated myself to this lovely Concord and 9th set, Beautiful Branches.
There you go, a grown up card!!

That's all for now, see you soon xx

Cutie Pie

Hello friends, a new week and a new challenge.

The Cutie Pies would love to see your cards featuring
LOVE or FOR MUM

I went with the LOVE option and used an image and paper that came free with a magazine.

I love the colours and just had to add black. The the die cut heart and "Big Kiss" sentiment are from a Marianne Designs set and the heart wreath over the top right corner had it's first outing!!

Hope you have a good week xx

Heart Bunny

I am sharing the love today in the shape of this sweet little bunny with her cart full of hearts. She is available here.

I had a moment of panic when I couldn't immediately locate my lovely heart of hearts die, but as you can see, finally found, it is backed by a scrap of red cardstock. Bunny was coloured using Promarkers and I added some  glitter to finish off. After the fiddling and faffing with the wedding card at the weekend it was time for a more CAS project!!

Well, that is me for today. Have a good weekend, when you get there!!

I do

Good morning my crafty friends. I know it is unusual for me to make an appearance on a Sunday but I wanted to!!  It's a wedding card I am sharing today and I had great fun fiddling and faffing!!

I used one of the adorable images from the Wedding Trio set from LOTV.
The papers are Nitiwits Cherish collection. The flower was made using one of the very first MFT die sets that I ever bought. Dawny P used them a lot, back then, and it me took ages to source them and I was so thrilled when I finally tracked down a set!! I inked the edges with Weathered Wood DI. The happy couple were coloured with Promarkers.

I am looking forward to the coming week...nothing too exciting but it finally looks as though the wet weather might stop for a while...I know, I am easily pleased!! The thought of no muddy dogs or horses makes me very happy!!

I hope you have a good Sunday, whatever you are up to xx

Stitching!!

The new challenge at As You Like It starts today so I am here to share my DT inspiration card with you. The theme is STITCHING Real or Faux?

I had to go with faux stitching. I love the idea of machine/hand stitching on my cards but I am never truly happy with my own feeble efforts so I opted for faux stitching. I achieved this with my holey ruler and a fine liner pen, which actually doesn't look too bad!! Our sponsor this time is
Kinda Cute by Patricia and the image I was kindly supplied with is
Bear with Cup...isn't he cute?! (Thank you Patricia!!)

I was inspired by the current Catch the Bug Stella says sketch #602 challenge and I used very much loved old Marianne Designs papers that I had, shamefully, forgotten about, so I think that allows me to also enter this card in the current Allsorts challenge " Old Favourites" Apologies for the drab photograph, good light is somewhat lacking at the moment. Roll on spring I say!!

Right, that is quite enough rambling from me, all that remains is for me to say that you will be most welcome to enter the challenge with your stitched items and I shall see you soon xx
