AYLI Flowers

Hello lovely people, its me again!!
This time with my fortnightly DT inspiration for

The theme this time is Favourite Flowers.

I have so many, including daisies, sunflowers and my current favourite favourite...hyacinths, if they count as flowers!!

However, I have used roses for the purpose of this challenge. They are available in many different types and colours and the fragrances vary from one variety to another, my absolute favourite being "Blue Moon" which takes me right back to my childhood garden making perfume, with my Sister, from the petals , much to Dad's horror!!

I used Hand Stitched by Neat and Tangled, together with more Doodlebug designs paper for the background and some black gems to finish off.

I really hope you will join us.

I will leave you with the blooms that are currently on my kitchen table!!

See you soon xx

Black and White

Hello my crafty friends.  As it is raining...again, I thought I would share a card that I put together last night to support a couple of current challenges.

It is a mixture of old and new. The stamp is one that I bought way back in my early rubber stamping days and one that I have rarely used. I spotted it on a virtual shopping trip and had to have it as one of the faces reminded me of my own New Forest Pony, Surprise. The new is the fabulous die cut layers which were made using a Tonic die set...English Picnic it is called and I was rather shocked at the size of them...huge!! In fact the ones I have used here on this 6 x 5ish card are some of the smallest!!

Anyway raining it may be, but that means a wet and muddy utility room floor from the dog walk this morning so I had better go and sort that out!!

Have a lovely day whatever the weather xx

Eyes down, look in...lol

It's time for BINGO at

I went for a Full House, using an image kindly provided by our sponsor Bugaboo.

It was the perfect opportunity to use some of my stash that never sees the light of day and also experiment with some unusual Christmas colours.

anita

Hello everyone, I hope you are well and having a good week. Dorset is still gripped by the cold weather although all the snow has gone.
Anyway, to balance the cold  weather I have a really bright and jolly little card to share today.

She is Anita from Sasayaki Glitter.

I took inspiration from a fabulous Doodlebug Designs pad and coloured her with Promarkers adding a touch of detail to her hair with pencil . I used my Concord and 9th Beautiful Branches sentiment stamps, which worked really well.

That is me for today. Hope to see you soon xx

Icy Breeze

Hello my lovely blogging buddies. Hope you are keeping well.

My post title seems rather appropriate following the return of the bitterly cold wind and snowfall that we had here over the weekend, but it really is the name of the paper collection that I used for today's card.

I must say a special thank you to Pauline who I blame entirely for steering me in the direction of this fab papercrafting pack!!

Before I go I have a snowy scene to share which I took on Sunday.  I said that after Hubby's accident a fortnight ago that I wouldn't ever wish for snow again but, I have to say, that it was lovely to enjoy a snowy walk together and I am sure it will be many years before we see more!!

There is very little left now.

See you soon xx

AYLI - Easter Creatures

My word these weeks are flying by and it is time for another new challenge at

With Easter only a few weeks away we would like to see your project showing your favourite Easter animal.

I was torn between rabbits and chicks and the chicks won, only because of my new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies!!

I made lots of these for my work colleagues.

I used Promarkers to colour these little guys.

So, that's my inspiration for you, a bit of CAS for a change and they were incredibly quick to put together.

Hope to see your Easter projects xx

Spring Cuties

Hello, Hello!! I hope you had a good weekend. I have that "Monday feeling" but the rate at which the year is flying by it will soon be the weekend again so never mind!!

It is time for the next challenge at

and we would love to see your cards showing cute spring characters.
I used Spring Friends from our sponsor Bugaboo, and you can't get more spring than lambs and bunnies!!

They were coloured with Promarkers to match the pretty LOTV papers
(now retired). I gave the bunny a fluffy chest using flowersoft.

Well that is me for today. Hope you have a good week xx

Singing Bird

Hello everyone.
First of all I would just like to thank you for your kind words for my Husband. He is feeling much better now and his head is healing quite nicely, although I try not to look too closely....eewwww!!

Anyway, less of that!! I am sharing a sweet image called
Singing Bird today. She is one of Naz's older images and a little less cute than normal.

I dug out an old Papermania pack and went with a blue colour scheme for a change and also went a bit flouncy!! I attempted an ombre effect with my Promarkers, which actually looks better in real life.

I hope my UK followers and visitors are now snow free and getting back to normal. We now have water everywhere but at least the temperatures are a little kinder than a week ago. Better go, I have four eyes looking at me expectantly as it's time my little helpers and I to put Surprise to bed!!

See you soon xx

Happy Birthday

Hello peeps I hope you are are well.

We did finally get our dump of snow ( courtesy of the "Beast from the East" and Storm Emma ) on Thursday. We were sent home from work early so I was able to enjoy a snowy walk with Bowie and Bumble after seeing to Surprise...yay!! Sadly it froze overnight so it wasn't so much fun yesterday...boo!!

My darling Hubby managed to gash his head at work yesterday, not snow/ice related, so spent the morning being x-rayed and glued back together and the afternoon we spent at a different hospital waiting for an injection. Not a pleasant 45 mile round trip!! So, I am going to keep my big trap shut in future and never, ever wish for snow again!!

Anyhow I have a card to share that I made for my Brother-in-law's Birthday. He and my Sister have always had  Cavalier King Charles Spaniel so this image from a magazine CdRom was perfect.

As it was for a fella I kept the design simple.

I have been searching for more Cavalier images for my Sister's soon Birthday but am not having much luck...shout if you know of any...decoupage or images, I don't mind!!

Thank you for your visit today. I am going to make the most of the adverse weather and get some DT cards made.

See you soon xx

Yee Haw Harriett

Howdy pardners!!

Here I am again to share Yee Haw Harriett. She is part of the March new release at Sasayaki Glitter.

I loved colouring this little cutie and used Promarkers to match the Cowboys and  Cowgirls papers from Happy Heart Studios. These were such fantastic value and the range of available sets made my heart very happy indeed!! I actually have a scarf just like the navy/white horse print...how spooky!! Not sure why I felt the need to mention that...oh well!!

Before I go I just want to share one of Mollie's First Birthday pics. I refuse to believe that she is already over a year old, how can that be? Anyway here she is, the apple of our eye!!

She had a "Cake Smash" I have no clue to the real meaning of this but it sounds like the waste of a perfectly good cake!!

That really is my lot for the day. Your visits and comments are much appreciated and I shall see you very soon xx

AYLI - Single or Multiple Layers

Hello everyone:0) I hope you are well.
When this goes live, if Dorset is now experiencing our share of the  heavy snowfall, I will be at work expecting the possible arrival of just one out my eight colleagues...the perils of working just a mile away from home!!

Anyhow, I have a lazy card to share today, in that I used a pre-coloured image for a change. The theme of the new challenge at

is Single or Multiple layers and remember to tell us why.

I cannot help myself and almost always use multiple layers. It is a great way to actually use showcase my many patterned papers!!

Our sponsor is Polkadoodles this time and I used a selection  of bits and pieces from the  Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Springtime Collection. Some chocolate brown and white ribbon finished it off perfectly.

I will see you later with another card. Until then have a good day and stay safe and warm xx
