Favourite Flower AYLI

Hello crafters, I have a floral number to share with you today.

Favourite Flower is our theme at AYLI this time.

I love these little white beacons of hope when they appear in our lane. It is a hint that spring is on the way!! The clumps we have were given to us by a lovely lady whose horses were some of our first guests when we opened our stable doors at Mallows Farm. Jenny was a formidable lady, as round as she was tall, a brilliant horsewoman who taught me a lot actually but at the same time scared the living daylights out of me!!  Horses and dogs were her passion and sadly while walking her dogs one day suffered a heart attack and was found with Pumpkin, Juniper and Gingham watching over her. She had a lovely garden and most seasons split something for us to plant that we now have here forever. Sorry...that was a bit of a tear jerker wasn't it!?

The stamp and sentiment is from a Clearly Besotted set that I heat embossed with white powder. The leaves and stems were coloured with Promarkers and the flower heads with white Lyra pencil and a touch of white Sakura pen.

It would be lovely to see your favourite flowers if you join in.

Thank you for stopping by xx

JOY!!

Hello friends, hope this post finds you well.

I have a card to share for Christmas with The Cutie Pie Challenge today. It is our first challenge of 2020 and we are kicking off with Anything Goes with an option of CAS.

Here is mine...

I have tried a bit of ombre with my Promarkers on this sweet image, Penguin Joy The snowy background is a snippet of navy card and some platinum Liquid Pearls. Once again I kicked myself for not making multiples of these while I had the supplies out...doh!!

I hope this week is a good one for you. I am back to work following annual leave last week so a bit sad about that but never mind, onwards and upwards!!

See you later in the week and thank you, as always, for your visits and words of encouragement.

See you soon xx

Favourite Animal at AYLI

Morning All!! A second visit this week with animals as the theme.

Today at As You Like It Challenge we would love to see your projects featuring your favourite animal, remember to tell us why too.

No prizes for guessing mine but bear with while I tell you why...

I love all animals (perhaps not mice though!!) but horses and ponies will always have a special place in my heart. My love for them was inherited from my Paternal Grandfather (Pop) who worked with them. I am sharing a scrapbook page showcasing my favourite picture of me and my beloved Surprise. I thought it was about time that I used some 12x12 papers from my stash instead of  looking at them!! I was shocked when I realised that this photograph was taken fifteen years ago.

 Here is the whole layout

I thoroughly enjoyed putting this page together, it is a bit primitive, but not a bad effort I thought!!
Thank you Marianne for sharing your pages...you inspired me to have a go!!

Have a good weekend when it comes. We are due more wild weather I think so it might be an indoors crafty kind of weekend here!!

See you soon xx

You have my heart....

With all the love that is being shared in blogland at the moment I thought I would play along with some of the current challenges. I have no idea where the image came from and  found it among my uncoloured printed images. It was lovely to colour. I think with more open images any mistakes are glaringly obvious so I took my time with the leaves. Promarkers were used and a scrap of MFT heart paper balanced it nicely.

The little heart hanging from the tree was glittered and I happened upon a tiny wooden button that made the perfect finishing touch.

Right, I have a pile of Connor's shirts to iron so I am off  to do that!!

See you on thursday xx

Cute and Cuddly Animals

Morning/Afternoon/Evening All!! I hope you had a good weekend and are raring to go and deal with whatever the week has in store for you. My word what a horrendous day yesterday...scary winds and lashing rain, not my favourite especially when sheets blow off the barn roof!! My bonkers Husband would not wait until better weather on Tuesday, so after I retrieved the missing sheet he went up onto said roof in 60mph winds and replaced it, bless his heart!! Wills was not very impressed but at least he, Surprise and all their friends are warm, dry and safe again!!

On a brighter note I have a cute and cuddly bunny to share today as it is the start of the next challenge at The Cutie Pie Challenge. Our sponsor is Bugaboo and I used Bunny for this card...

The picture looks a little washed out but in reality the colours are much deeper. the pretty papers are from Marianne Designs Peach and Mint Collection. Bunny was, of ourse, coloured with Promarkers and the Hunkydory Moonstone flower dies got another airing.

I really hope you will join us this month with your cute and cuddly animals!!

Love is in the air

Hello again!! Two posts in a week is unheard of these days!! Today I have a pretty little lady to share with you. She is called Love is in the air and is by the sponsor of the new challenge

I used my Promarkers to colour her. The spotty paper was a scrap that I punched in the corners ( that sounds positively brutal but you know what I mean!!).

She would actually make a sweet Valentine card but I am sending her to a friend as a little "catch up" card.

Hope you have a good weekend xx
