Cats or Dogs?

So, that's nearly another week of this unusual year over and what a mixed bag it's been. I was quite pleased to see the rain on Monday as the grass was looking extremely sorry for itself and now we are heading into a heatwave again so extremely early walkies for us tomorrow. That leads me nicely to the introduction of our next challenge at

this time it's all about Cats or Dogs!!

It's dogs for me (although we were honoured to have been adopted by two squatters loving cats in the past!!) there is nothing like being greeted at the door by smiley happy faces and waggy tails and a dog loves you more than anything in the whole, wide, world. Maybe not in Bumbles case actually as his devotion to his ball is unrivalled!!

I am still on a mission to use my older stamps and hunted out this sweet Kanban stamp that fits the theme perfectly. I really challenged myself with the amount of hair on this one but it's not too bad!! I did the base card first with MFT papers and coloured the image, with Promarkers to match.

It would be great to see your cats or dogs and the reason for your choice.

Here are my "boys" last week, Bowie looking very important at the back and bumble guarding his precious ball!!

See you when I do!! xx

Christmas animals

Hello lovely people. Hope this week will be a good one whatever it has in store. I am kicking mine off with a cute card for

where the new challenge starts today and we would love to see your Christmas cards featuring a cute animal this time.

I have made a real effort, during these home times, to use stamps that I already have and this cute rabbit is one of them.

This cute fella is from The Cats Pajamas Bunny Snowglobe set. I teamed him with a digi paper from Nitwits Collection, Patchwork Christmas. I covered the globe element in a glittery film which, I believe, came from Little Claire Designs when they were still trading. Because there is space for a sentiment at the base of the globe I simpy added a wooden button and twine as a finishing touch. It is a tiny little 4 x 4 card and yes, I wish I had made multiples!!

See you later in the week xx

Summer or Autumn at AYLI

Hello everyone, don't be shocked but it's me again.

I am getting a bit ahead of myself with a little autumnal number as my DT piece for

where the theme is Summer or Autumn. As always you can interpret the theme as you wish but do remember to tell us why.

I am most definitely an autumn person. I marvel at the glorious colours of the season and love nothing more than riding or kicking my way through the crunchy fallen leaves on a misty morning.
I just happened to have the perfect paper pad  to use with the sweet Tracey Hey fox (an early set from Mama Makes) that I coloured with Promarkers. The message and hearts are from the current Rhino Rascals set and I finished it off with a spotty orange satin ribbon.

I hope you will join us.

Have a good weekend, when it arrives. See you soon xx

Delightful Digis

Good morning everyone, I hope you had a good weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead. I had a haircut on Friday...oh my days, it feels amazing and I will never take a good hair cut for granted ever again!!

Anyway, on to the matter in hand. I am here to shout about the latest challenge at

As always we want to see your cute images and this time a digi image.

Here is my card using an image from our sponsor.

Little Mia was coloured with Promarkers to match the Craftword Cards paper that I used. Since the mojo was lacking I paid a visit to Jules' sketch vault and chose #49 this time...she really does have some fab designs that she is happy to share.

On Saturday, armed with face coverings, we headed south to the coast. We had seen in the local paper that there were cruise ships anchored off the beach in Weymouth so went to have a look for ourselves. Never having been on a cruise, we were astonished by their size...gargantuan!!

There are actually six of them "parked up". What was most alarming was how quiet Weymouth was. We had our reservations about whether to go or not but need not have worried, it was like a ghost town. We treated ourselves to a picnic lunch from M&S where it was well organised and we safely got around the food hall following the arrows!!

And here are before and after hair cut shots. I did take the scissors to the fringe during lockdown!! I am embracing the natural highlights this time as I seem to be blessed with an even sprinkling of grey, so we'll see how that goes!!

So, that's all the news. I am thankful , as always, for your visits and words of encouragement.  It is a comfort to know that there is no social distancing here and we can come and go as we please!!

Take Care xx

Farm or Jungle at AYLI

Hello friends and visitors. Lovely to have your company today. Hope you are well and adjusting to whatever changes have happened during the time since I was last here!!

I have my DT contribution for

to share with you today. Your mission this time is to share your cards featuring

Farm or Jungle Animals.

For the first sixteen years of my married life I helped to milk cows and do the other associated jobs that go with it, so it was an easy choice for me!!

I made a never ending card using MFT The Whole Herd Stamp set and some lovely papers from The Paper Boutique.

If you fancy making one here is the link to Mixed Up Craft.

What dreadful photographs, so I apologise for that and it looks like I need to replace my paper trimmer blade too...fluffy edges...grrrrr!!

I hope to see you again soon. Until then stay safe and have a good weekend, when you get there xx
