Just to say Hello

I am a "glass half full" kind of girl but am beginning to feel a bit fed up with this social isolation that has been forced on us, although by the Summer let's hope we are free to interact as we wish, once more. Even though it has been business as usual at work, it is not quite the same as a face to face chat with family or friends. For this reason I have been beavering away making cards to send just to say hello and I am thinking of you.

Which leads me nicely to the point where I can encourage you to join us at

where our prompt is your favourite occasion to send a card.

I made multiples of these cards to send, together with some "Hugs" made from felt and fabric scraps.

So that is me for today. Hope you are doing okay and see you soon xx

Gnomes, Elves and Fairies

Hello all, hope the weekend was a good one. Mine included another Covid Clinic on Saturday morning with another 500 local patients jabbed. The gratitude has been truly overwhelming. The local Mayor has provided doughnuts for the staff and volunteers on more than one occasion and the patients themselves have given us home baked cakes and biscuits. I am pleased to hear that so many of you have had your first vaccinations.

So, the reason for my visit today is Christmas!! We have had a little rest over at

and this is the first challenge of the year and it's a good one!!

Gnomes, Elves and/or Fairies. I went with this fantastic gnome from a brand new sponsor.

I coloured him with Promarkers to match the lovely papers and added a bundle of ribbons and threads as a finishing touch.

Thank you for your visit, it is always much appreciated xx

Over the Rainbow

It's been a while since I coloured with anything but my Promarkers so in a bid to use my stash I dusted off my Lyra pencils and had an enjoyable time making this as my DT inspiration for

It's always Anything Goes just as long as your image is hand coloured.

The sweet couple (and their lovely doggy) went perfectly with a lovely muted rainbow pad from Alpaca Pals and I just finished it off with some LOTV cut up words.

I am feeling a little bit older this week as it was my birthday yesterday, that unfortunate event means more cake...had to be done!!  I have been on Annual Leave this week and have been decorating our Sitting Room. I reckon the whole of Dorset must have had the same idea as the shelves in the DIY stores were quite empty, however we managed to find enough of a colour that we both liked so all is well!! It was probably a sensible project as it hasn't stopped raining. Cold and dry is much better, even -9 degrees is preferable to howling gales and rain!!

Keep well everyone xx

Hearts and Flowers

Hello and welcome...it's Cutie Monday again and this time we are sharing Hearts and Flowers, you can choose Romance if you like or even Mothers' Day, it's up to you.

I have gone with a Valentine. It's not usually a big event in our house but with last year being CRAP a write off I am feeling like spreading the love so made this for Hubby, using an image from our brand, spanking, new Sponsor Just Me Digital, whose images I absolutely adore. I used Pig Valentine and coloured the little cutie with Promarkers, and used a snippet of MFT paper ( a very important snippet, to find out why, read more HERE).

I hope that you will join us, we are a friendly bunch!!

You know I said that muffins and sweet treats were off the menu, well, I lied. I went and fell off the wagon and accidentally made iced buns...you're welcome!!

See you soon lovely people xx

AYLI, Rubber, Clear or Digi?

When I started stamping, there were really only red or grey rubber stamps on wooden mounts and with limited brands too. How times have changed, multiple stamps in a single themed pack and we can now even resize digi images and/or sentiments to suit.

Our prompt for you this time at As You like It is for you to share your favourite type of stamp, and don't forget to tell us why.

I have been having a little bit of a tidy up and have made a rather large pile of stamps that haven't seen ink for a while, this is one of them (no longer available in rubber but as a digi). My stamping platform makes perfect stamping so much easier and there isn't the worry of smudging the printer ink with my alcohol markers.

I coloured Oliver with my Promarkers and die cut a football to stamp the sentiment on to. The brickwork is a very old embossing folder, wood grain one side and brick the other, possible Spellbinders?

Anyway that's all for today.

Keep well everyone xx
