Sunny days

Hooray...it looks like the rain has gone for a while. I was not enjoying Maypril at all!!

I have been trying to make more use of my vast stash so today got out my coloured inks.Amazingly they were still juicy despite not being used for quite some time and this is what I made...

...I started off by gathering all my yellow, gold and orange inks and literally just used a blender pad for each colour and rubbed away on to some sturdy card. That done I found some shimmer powder in a golden tone, put it in a bottle with some water and sprayed and then dabbed with some loo roll!! The meadow stamp and the birds were freebies with a magazine and the lovely Bee Crafty Beau-tanicals stamp on the right hand side was the prize from a win at Allsorts, where I shall be taking this card to support their current 12th Birthday challenge. A lovely crafty friend gifted me the Whimsy "Birthday" and I teamed it with an old Craftwork Cards "Happy". I shocked myself with the speed at which this all came together, once dry, and will definitely be getting inky again!! A non-cute card for the stock box...and that is not a sentence I type often!!

Thank you for your continued visits and kind words, it is much appreciated.

Festive Furries

Hello peeps. Hope you are well this Monday morning.

It's time for another Christmas card in support of

where the theme is Festive Furries.

I made these...

...using A Sprinke of Winter papercrafting set by Paper Boutique. I love this set as it includes wonderful papers and toppers featuring wildlife that I often see in my garden. All I have really added are sentiments and some tittivation by way of mirror card and festive embellishments.

We would love to see your cute Christmas cards and as I have demonstrated, it does not have to have a coloured image, you can use toppers or decoupage too!!

AYLI - Favourite Colouring Medium

It is time for another new challenge at

where we are asking you to share your projects using your favourite colouring medium.
Many of you will know that I have a longstanding love of Promarkers. I have various sets from all the other well known brands of alcohol markers but never seem to get on quite so well with them as I do my Promarkers. They blend so beautifully and the colour families go so well together.

I made these cards to send to my cousins with a little gift following the loss of their Mum (my Auntie Jill) who suffered with dementia for many years. She was also my Dad's twin Sister so I like to think that they are now reunited after nearly thirty years of being apart.

I coloured one blue and one pink to go with the ceramic hearts that went with them from here (seriously if you are looking for a beautiful unique gift that won't break the bank, take a look at Sarah's work!!).
As is so often the case the colouring does not really show at it's best but I promise you that the backgrounds are coloured to match the pretty Marianne papers. The stamp is a Woodware one that I won in a challenge at Allsorts. Obviously coloured with Promarkers but I also stamped onto the patterned paper and cut the frame to stick on top. The Sent with Love sentiment was also a Woodware set that I found "yellowing with age" in a drawer...ooops!!

Lovely to see you today, hope you will have a minute or two to go and take a peep at what my teamies have done too!! xx

Best Friend Hugs

Hugs...all being well it won't be too long until we can let loose and HUG again here in the UK. I am going to be choosy though, not everyone I encounter will get one!! I wonder if there will be restrictions on how long the hug can last?

This sweet card is my DT inspiration for Colour Crazy Challenge where we are always Anything Goes as long as your card is hand coloured.

Our Sponsor is Polkadoodles and since I recently got my hands on the Honeypie bundle, used Best Friend Hugs. The paper is from Alpaca Pals and I attempted to colour their dresses and shoes in an ombre style, which you can only see on the blue one. It looks quite effective in real life!!

Thank you for stopping by, it is much appreciated.

See you soon xx

Gorgeous Gingham and Perfect Plaid

Hello Friends. I am back to work today after being on annual leave last week....booooo!!

But I'm here to let you know that the new challenge is starting at The Cutie Pie Challenge...Yay!!

We have a great theme for you this week, Gorgeous Gingham and Perfect Plaid and this is what I did.

I used the Shruggers from our sponsor...aren't they cute...the messages came with them too!!

I used Promarkers to colour them to match the gingham papers that , I believe, are Doodlebug Designs.

It was nice to spend the last week at home. Although necessary, it was rather nice not to have to do any admin sessions at the ongoing covid Clinics. We did a lot of gardening, between torrential rain and gales and even went "out, out" for a bacon roll and slice of cake. I hope you are all managing to find enjoyment in the outside world once more.

See you soon xx

How do you add your ribbon then?

Hello everyone and happy May to you all!! It is feeling distinctly warmer here in the UK after weeks of frosts and cold weather. I know it has rained but at least it is a little bit warmer, so much so that I have put the winter boots away and started packing away my jumpers...about time too!!

I paid a visit to Alpaca Pals a couple of weeks ago and made an accidental purchase so just had to colour the beautiful bouquet from the Thanks a Bunch set. I always feel very virtuous buying from Tracey as she is located just over the hill from me so the carbon footprint is quite small, therefore a contribution to saving the planet!! I coloured this rather large beauty with Promarkers and used a few blobs of Stardust Stickles too. The sentiment (also from the set) was heat embossed in white onto a scrap of black cardstock Anyway, this card is to inspire you to join us in the new challenge at

We would really like to know how you add ribbon to your card/project.

For someone who has a big enough ribbon stash to last several lifetimes, I really don't dip into it often enough!! Here I have just used a perfectly matched bow to suggest a hand tied bouquet. This card is to be hand delivered so a little bit of bulk really didn't matter too much. If I am making cards that are to be posted I will incorporate flat ribbon somewhere on the design or use seam binding that squishes quite flat in the envelope.

Well, that's me for today. I hope that you will find time to play along xx
