Cupcake anyone?

Hello there. Today I have another pink creation to share. It's not a colour that I use regularly but I have been trying to add a few more girlie coloured cards to my stock box and In the Pink challenges certainly help to get the inspiration flowing.
So, using their latest challenge in the form of a photograph

I made this...

I stepped outside my comfort zone for this one and unearthed an ancient stamp set from Personal Impressions in order to do a spot of heat embossing direct to the card blank together with a bit of inking. The sentiment from Mama Elephant was also heat embossed onto a SB label. Finally a Promarker coloured cupcake slathered in glitter and some roses to finish off.

Hope you like it...I'm not sure!!

Another challenge join in

I really don't want to go back to work today but I did buy a few crafty goodies last week so I suppose I had better put in an appearance !!

Hope your week is a good one xx

Well I for one like your card, different for you but we all step out of our comfort zone now and again.
When I clicked on I though you had been baking ... then I thought PINK cakes for Fathers Day ... NOPE!!
Have a good day working, just keep thinking of the Craft Goodies, I will all be worth it.

You've done just great 'outside your comfort zone'. The pinks in this pretty card look wonderful in the shades you've selected. Love that yummy goodie in the focal spot, and also like the repetitive pattern in the background emphasizes the theme so nicely. The blackboard matted with the hot pink is definitely a WOW spot to hold this fancy font sentiment, and of course the tiny pinks of the roses...just more deleesh. You did a wonderful creation with this one! Pink must like you! TFS & Hugs

Oh yum... I really ought to play along with this one, lol. Gorgeous card Sarah. Love the heat embossing and the sparkle on the cupcake!

As for how my son fractured his toe... He came charging down the stairs (at a terrifying pace!) trying to get away from his sister who was throwing foam darts at him (not exactly painful, those...). When he got to the last step he stepped wrong and bent his big toe back too far. He had a good giggle about being silly and was fine until the toe started swelling and we figured it was best to get it seen to!
Naturally he proclaimed he was going to be more careful in future, then promptly went and almost did the same thing again, lol. x
