School Girl

Hellooo!! Can you believe that August is nearly over? It hardly seems like yesterday that it began. Correct me if I am wrong but I think that the older you get the quicker time whizzes by!! The summer holidays are drawing to an end which is why it is appropriate to share this little lady with you. Looks like she is back to school !! She is available at Sasayaki Glitter together with lots of other lovely images.

She looks rather nervous standing there with her brand spanking new backpack. Perhaps her Mum gave her a talking to, before she left the house, for wearing such a short dress!! My pretty papers came from The Works and being that they are vintage in style I decided to ink the edges with my favourite Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. Sbe was coloured with Promarkers to match. Although she is modern in style, I was still rather pleased with the end result.  This card didn't stay in my stock box very long. Connor nabbed it to give to one of his team at work who is off to University. I am reliably informed that she liked it too!!

On the subject of my offspring, we had a lovely few hours with Mollie and her Daddy and Mummy.  She met Surprise for the first time and sat on her too.

As you can see Mollie looks quite happy up there and the camera caught my best side!! I didn't realise my hair was quite that grey either!!
Anyway that's it for today. I will be back again tomorrow with a new release.
Until then xx

That really is a fabulous card and no surprise that you're pleased with it. Love the photo of Mollie and she looks so happy sitting there... guess you've got another horse lover there xx

You are right about the days whizzing by, where did August go?
Super card and so appropriate for this time of year.
Going back to school never phased my two, probably 'cos I dropped them at the door then ran cheering down the road! Couldn't understand all the mums blubbing. Am I hard or is it the teacher in me, kids would rather not have a scene! My teacher daughter is of the same opinion, not that she is returning this August with her rather large bump developing nicely. Make the most of the baby cuddles, they grow up far too fast, or is that an age thing too! :)

Hi Sarah,
what a wonderful card and your image and design are wonderful as usual.
Pretty papers used also.
Oh my Mollie looks in her element and it won't be long before you are giving her riding lessons as she is so at home on a horses back.
She is sure a cutie too.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Gorgeous card Sarah. Love that paper combo, the soft palette is so pretty. Super sweet image and so lovely for a 'going back to school' card. How cute is Mollie on Surprise! That's so lovely! We don't say 'grey' hun, it's a sprinkling of salt and pepper! Hugs, Wends xoxo
