Tag it For Christmas

It seems rather odd encouraging you to make goodies for Christmas on this  Bank Holiday Monday but nevertheless that is what I am going to do!!

We are all about the tags at Christmas with The Cutie Pies, so somewhere on your cute card we would like to see a tag. Here is what I did...

I have gone a bit non-traditional with the colour here and made a shaker using a tag builder set that has been unused for quite some time!! The sweet penguin was coloured with Promarkers. I was going to stick him on the white mat so that the shaker could be seen but I think he actually looks better on the shaker!! Apologies for the dreadful photograph, it was dull when I took this and haven't had a chance to take another since!!

I hope you will join in and support us and, in doing so, add to your Christmas card pile.

Whatever you are up to this week, I hope it is a good one xx

His or Hers at AYLI

Hello peeps. Hope you are well today.

I have my DT card to inspire you to join in at

It's His or Hers this time.

Here's mine and I went for "Hers"

I have soooo much girly stash in my collection that it just had to be. I am not  a pink person myself but my friend Eve is, so this was made for her upcoming Birthday. I also don't mind admitting that I am a tiny bit scared of making male cards and, no matter how hard I try, am rarely happy with the finished item. Anyway for this sweet girly card I used a Studiolight die for the base. The paper is from a 12x12 pad that I picked up in The Works some time ago. Such good quality it is too.
The adorable Hoppy Poppy stamp was coloured with Promarkers and the flowers were made using one of the first MFT die sets I ever bought.

So...what are you waiting for?!!

Well, my afternoon tea last week was delicious. Their scones were as light as air and I have never tasted anything quite like the blackberry choux buns!! A return visit is a certainty!!

See you soon folks xx

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge

Another weekend is almost upon us and (forgive me for stating the obvious!!) we are beyond half way through May which is amazing. I am rather liking the warmer, sunnier days we are enjoying of late, I think it makes us all feel a little bit better even if there are troubles in our lives.

I will be "troubled" later today when my waist is likely to be larger!! My good friend Kim celebrated her 60th Birthday on Tuesday so a group of us are taking her out for Afternoon Tea at a very nice hotel in Sherborne, so I am looking forward to that very much. It is also Martin's weekend off and we usually take a trip out which will probably involve cake too. Sunday's dog walk might just have to be a biggy!!

Anyway, before all that I have my DT piece for

I used Veggie Veronica Vegan Workout from Oddball Art Co, our Sponsor.

I really enjoyed colouring her and chose some nice bright  papers. The layout, in case you are wondering, is another one of Jules'.

The beauty of this challenge is that as long as your image is hand coloured, with whatever medium you like, you can join in. Hope to see you there!!

Wishing you a lovely weekend xx

Happy travels

Hope this finds you well on this rather nice Wednesday afternoon. I have a card to share that I managed to put together during four or five stops in the work room. Life seems very much like that at this time of year so a few minutes here and there, to craft, is very welcome!!

I like to support Allsorts Challenge when I can and the theme this week was a perfect one for me to ink up a travel orientated set that came free with a magazine.

Here it is

It very nearly ended up in the bin as, stupidly, I stuck the tree down before placing the car and caravan...coloured with my Promarkers of course!! I managed to chop off the back end of the caravan to make it appear to be parked behind the tree...what a wally I am!!  Still, all's well that ends well as they say.

MFT papers provided the backdrop and a long forgotten Marianne die made a perfect tree. It looked a little flat so I used Enchanted glitter to give it a lift.

Right, better go and do a bit of weeding while it's dry!!

See you on Friday xx

and this is what I did, completing column 1 and row three, plus another couple of squares for good measure!!

MFT papers provided the colour in the background and I inked a long forgotten Bildmalarna rubber stamp and coloured her with Promarkers.

Not a card at AYLI

Thank you for joining me today, I hope you are having a good week.

I have some embroidery to share with you this time. We would love to see your non card projects at

As You Like It Challenge.

It is six years since this challenge launched and I am proud to say that I have been with this wonderful team, pretty much, since the start. It was my very first DT and I was so excited when Samantha and Annette picked me to join the team. You can take a look at my first DT piece here.

To celebrate the event we are having an Anniversary Blog Hop, for which there is an additional prize for one lovely visitor. Full details are here

Last year I subscribed to some seasonal kits from Craftpod as I felt my creative mojo needed a bit of a boot up the backside!! I devoured the first kit in no time at all but what with one thing or another the Spring 2018 kit was put away and forgotten about. So, in preparation for this DT piece I dusted it off and did this...

Everything (even needles, silk skeins, pins etc) is included in these letterbox sized boxes, for several projects, and they usually contain a tasty teabag and sometimes a sweet treat too!!

I really hope that you will find time to make something and join us this fortnight and to participate in our celebration.

See you soon xx

Dainty Dancing

Hello crafty friends, hope all is well with you. I have a just for fun card to share with you today. The current theme at Sweet Stampin' inspired me to make this little card.

I used a Craftwork Cards paper pad for the layout, which is another of Jules' sketches, loosely based on #5 actually. The adorable little LOTV Dainty Dancer is the rubber version but can be found here
She was coloured with Promarkers.

That is me for now, I have Line of Duty to catch up with. Have a good evening xx
