Christmas in the snow....

...now there's a thought after the rubbish year we have had so far. At the rate things are going Christmas may be a very quiet affair so it would be nice to have a bit of snow to look at, what do you think?!!

If you are not a fan of my idea how about joining in at the new challenge at

where snow and/or snowmen are order of the day.

Here is my card

very CAS for me and using just one stamp set from Woodware that has been sitting in my NBUS box for a couple of years I think!! I used my Promarkers to colour him in one of my favourite Christmas colour combos, aqua and red. Lots of sparkle for the snow and glossy accents to make the carrot nose nice and shiny.

Hope you are all doing ok whether in lockdown or not. Keep well and see you soon xx

Bright or Pastel?

Hello friends and visitors. Hope everyone is keeping well amid the continued pandemic.

I have a couple of bright and cheery Christmas cards to share with you today to inspire you to join in at

where we are looking forward to seeing your makes using bright or pastel colours.

I love bold and bright statement colours both in cardmaking and my clothes, so a bright red and green combo seemed perfect for these cute cards. I used Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays stamp and die sets for the little red car and associated roof luggage!!

That's all for today. Stay Safe and see you soon xx

Coffee Confidential

I am here with my piece for

where the theme is always Anything Goes as long as your card features a hand coloured image.

I had a ball colouring this lovely image from our sponsor, Digi Doodle Studios, using my Promarkers.

The digi papers were lurking in a scrap box so I have no idea where they came from!!

I hope you are all keeping well. See you soon xx

A Cutie Birthday Party!!

Hello friends. My word aren't we galloping through September already and as it is the second Monday I am here to share my DT piece for

It is a special post this time as we are eleven years old and are having a right old shindig with lots of sponsors for our BIRTHDAY PARTY theme.

Here is my card

Once again I sorted through my paper mountain and came upon this lovely MME pad that was the starting point for this easel card. I coloured Spring Bloom, with Promarkers, to compliment the papers and added some touches of glitter. I borrowed an idea from my lovely buddy Annette and used a Crafters Companion Circle Sentiments die for the curved sentiment, it is amazing how PVA glue can make card bendy!!

I know it really doesn't scream PARTY, but due to the Covid-19 restrictions the little bunny is off to a socially distanced gathering for two without the bells, whistles and pom poms!!  If, on the other hand you do want an all out PARTY then please do come along and join us, all the details are here!!

See you soon xx

My Favourite Stencil

Something totally different from me today...a stencil.

I have the total sum of two stencils in my stash ( I have used my other one here!) and this is my favourite floral one!! It was a magazine freebie a very long time ago and has survived the stash cull on a number of occasions. Looks like I was right to put it in the "might use one day" drawer!! I used distress inks for the colour and although I was reasonably pleased with the shading just felt that it needed a little something. That turned out to be another item from the same drawer, a can of pearl spray from here. I think the black frame works rather well together with the LOTV sentiment.

That's all for now. Have a good weekend when it arrives xx

A book of promises

You may recall back along that I mentioned a Book Of Promises that I was making for Connor's Girlfriend Amelia. Well her Birthday has been and gone and so I can share it with you. Once again my paper mountain came up trumps when he told me that she liked green and mustard...of course I could lay my hands on papers featuring those colours!! I did consider cutting the pages by hand but, here's the thing, I had my eye on a Hunkydory Memory Book die set and when I researched it found that it was reduced so just had to get it!! It was SO worth it!!

I was incredibly proud of him for thinking up such a thoughtful and unique present.

The front and back were covered in the same papers and I chose a dark chocolate coloured Centura pearl card for her name that was die cut using CC letter dies. I happened to have some binder rings that I added tons of ribbon to for decoration. Amelia is not a girly girl so I left the embellishments at that!!

Connor's original brief was to have tear out pages but I managed to persuade him that pockets to hold tags would be far better and then she was able to keep the whole gift intact. I somehow managed to use a different co-ordinating paper for each of the pages and pockets. The pages and tags were cream linen card and I found cream pearl paper that I typed the promises on to.

Each tag was numbered and he really did think of some really meaningful "promises".

One of my favourites was his suggestion to grab a blanket and a picnic and watch the sunset from the boot of the car. I think he gets his romantic notions from his old Mum!!

There were twenty pockets in all and the last contained the promise of a holiday, once we are let out again!! As you can imagine she was thrilled to bits and I understand that a few have been redeemed already!!

Thank you for stopping by. See you soon xx

Arctic Friends

Hello everyone I found myself a bit of "me time" today and sat down and made this.

In my quest to use my stash I found this lovely Penny Black, T for transparent, stamp. It's Arctic Friends and available here. Although there is a lot of white, it was quite a tricky card to colour using my trusty Promarkers. If you would like to replicate the wintertime night sky, I blended Midnight Blue, Denim Blue and Powder Blue and added the falling snow with white pen. I also discovered yet another untouched paper pack, this time a fab Polkadoodles collection. I was inspired by several challenges so to comply with the brief made a round base using my Tonic layering scalloped circles die set and finished off with a Creative Expressions die cut sentiment. Ooh and Stardust Stickles provided the snow!!

I can't tell you what a treat it has been to make a card for fun and the rate at which the nights are drawing in I am hopeful to be able to do this more often. I hope you are managing to make time for yourselves.

That's all for now lovely people. I am off to join in with these challenges, mind you knowing Blogger it might take several hours!!
