A bit square!!

Hello, friends and anyone who has found themselves here by accident!!

Today's card is all about the new challenge at As You Like It. We are showcasing the straight or curved this time. Circles or squares, curves, rounded edges or straight lines, whatever you prefer we would love to see it.

I like order, symmetry and straight lines so this was an easy one for me, although I do have a little circle sentiment so, for that, I hope you will forgive me!!

I made this for our very special Grandaughter, Mollie Rose, who started school on Monday!! Yes friends, you have been following me a loooong time if you can remember when she was born here. She's all grown up and, of course, I had to colour the card to suit her uniform. The adorable little image was coloured with Promarkers and, once again, my stash came up trumps with a school type paper pad( Kaisercraft Class of  '87) and some coordinating elements that finished it off beautifully.

Here is the little lady of the moment in all her glory...

...so proud of her.

Look at the leaves though, a sure sign that Autumn is truly approaching. Our cherry tree is casting leaves really heavily. We picked sloes from our hedges at the weekend (not as many as last year) so started the Sloe Gin off on Tuesday. Then I picked blackberries for Bramble jelly so am stocking up nicely!! The tomatoes have done really well this year too so I have also made several jars of chutney, not my favourite thing to make as the smell is so awful...anybody have any tips to share to avoid the vinegary smell at all?

So that's me for today. See you soon xx

Lovely card, Sarah, so cute! I've got that image as well and the matching boy one - really had a big thing for LoTV. Well still do really!!

Your granddaughter is super cute too - she looks so happy! I remember those days, then the little blighters grow up, go 'humph' at you as they march out the door to catch the bus to Grammar School in their new Year 10 'I'm all grown up now, leave me alone' mood!! Speaking from experience, me?

Sarah

P.S. It's not so bad, I just had a 'love u 2' text!!

How time flies Sarah, yes I do remember. I posted photos of our new arrival at the weekend and as I told her Mum, make the most of these early days as time flies.

As for chutney, my problems is always the wasps who seem to love the smell of tomatoes.

Sure Mollie Rose loved her special card.

My tomatoes have done really well too, sorry can't help with the vinegar smell but why not make passata instead? Absolutely chucked it down last night but still muggy out. :)

A lovely card Sarah and your little Millie Rose is adorable. Yes, I remember her being born as my youngest grandson was born in the same week. He looks a little cutie too in his little uniform. How quickly the time flies, it's quite scary if you sit and think about it for too long! Grandchildren are just the greatest gift, so we are the lucky ones x

How did the time pass so quickly! She looks so sweet and both she and the image on the card make me smile seeing the tots in uniforms that look on the big side. Reminds me of my childhood when everything was bought with 'growing room' lol! You had the perfect papers in your stash for this gorgeous card and as always the image is coloured beautifully.
Hope you are keeping well Sarah.
