Hello friends and visitors, it's my turn to host at
Allsorts Challenge this week and my optional theme is
Ribbons and Bows
I am a hoarder, I make no apology, but I have mountains full of ribbons, many that I won in days gone by when I entered lots of challenges, and others that were absolutely necessary purchase (much like the embossing folders!!). So, with that in mind I am using a little bit of ribbon on my makes.
Here I used an Impression Obsession rubber stamp on parchment using Rich Cocoa Memento ink, tore the edges and stuck to some criss crossed organza and grosgrain ribbon that matched the paper.
I used a lot more ribbon on my next example using a tutorial that I found on You Tube
I simply stamped Good Luck to finish it off.
Prize of A5 stamp set, stencil and ribbons and £10 digital download from Polkadoodles
I hope that you have a good weekend and manage to find some crafty time. We are hoping for some dry weather as Mollie and Jackson both had "bikes" for their Birthdays earlier in the year and want to ride them around the stable yard, until now it's been far too wet so we are hoping for a dry...ish weekend!!
See you soon xx

The stamped image is beautiful in the Rich Cocoa ink and love your good luck card
Two gorgeous cards using ribbon for your Allsorts’ theme Sarah. The horseshoe good luck card is AWESOME.
Hope you get the dry weather you want. xxx
Aren't we all hoarders?? Great choice of theme and I love your stamped card, also the woven ribbon heart is impressive and something different. Sorry my DT card has such a tiny bow but I've been under the weather recently. It's not as if I don't have loads of ribbon I could/should have used 🙄
Naturally I love the image on your card Sarah, but equally the unique use of ribbon creating the horseshoe, an idea I will borrow for Anesia's Birthday card in August.
Rain here yet again , muddy everything. Great challenge, stretched me.

A beautiful stamp on your first card and your papers and ribbon complement it so well. Your second card is amazing and what a brilliant idea.
The soft mix of parchment stamping and layered ribbons gives this such a warm, tactile feel. The torn edges against the criss‑crossed organza and grosgrain add lovely movement, and the rich cocoa ink suits the Impression Obsession image perfectly. The second project really shows how beautifully ribbon can become the star of the design, and the Good Luck sentiment finishes it with such charm. I hope Mollie and Jackson get that dry spell for their bike adventures around the yard.
Two beautiful cards Sarah, love the ribbon horseshoe on the second one. Enjoy your weekend.

I like the sepia image on parchment!
Your good luck horse shoe is fabulous!
Thanks for the challenge! I have a ton of ribbon that just sits!
Those horses are beautiful and your background papers make it look like they are in a meadow, nice ribbon, your card with the ribbon braiding is amazing. Fun theme.
You put the pretty ribbons to great use, how beautiful! I am especially in awe of the second card. Must have taken lots of patients to do that. But well worth the time. A really gorgeous design on the first too, love the sunflower/ gingham papers in comination with the horse image.
I love the sunflower background and the horses stamp Sarah and love the ribbon, next up, pink horse shoe of ribbons..fabulous.

That horseshoe is a great idea for those horse loving friends Sarah. I have far too much ribbon in my drawers and boxes and packets, oh did I say I have lots of ribbon.... ;)
