Rose #2

Hello friends, hope you are all managing to keep well. I managed to grab myself a spare few minutes yesterday so made this so that I can join in at Allsorts Challenge.

You might remember me saying here that I always felt intimidated by the petals on this stamp and have only ever coloured it the once. I decided to dust off my Lyra pencils this time with a bit of blending solution and surprised myself, it was so much easier than with my Promarkers. I still kept the card simple as she really does deserve to be in the spotlight doesn't she?! I found some little cut outs from a Julie Loves kit from way back and used those for the sentiment.

It's been a horsey kind of day today, the ponies had their feet trimmed and then Wills had a visit from the vet for his annual vaccinations so while waiting I took some pictures using my phone. He loves a selfie!! Not sure I am particularly pleased with my chins though!!

I reckon we have the same smile there!!

See you soon xx

Really like the design on this one Sarah. Lovely photos, we had trims the other day as well and new front shoes for Ben, those six weeks visits come round so quickly.

Well done with the colouring, persevere with the markers, you can do it!
Wills looks very pleased with himself too. We have lambs everywhere. The ram lamb managed 12 hits before he left the ladies with an average of just under 2, so not bad for a young un! Our normal rotation is up the spout as a result of his shenanigans so we have a different set of ewes back but still half of ours in the shed field, so a case of juggling the grass available 'til they go to the sheds. Triplets are the order of the day, much to the disgust of Joe the shepherd, not enough singles to put them onto! :)

Hi Sarah,
oh my word she is so gorgeous and I love those stockings they a fab.
Such a very wonderful stamp and you have coloured it perfectly too.
Love the very fab design as you say she doesn't need much as she holds all the limlight.
I too find colouring with inks or water colour pencils easier with my eye problems.
Not used my alcohol marker for ages.
Great photo of you and Wills so glad the weather has been good so you can ride more this winter.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hi Sarah, gorgeous stamp so prettily coloured ( I love my Copics but will happily 'play' pencils anytime!) and love the CAS look - right up my street!

Lovely pictures of you as well, you look so happy in them! I don't think there are many of us who like how they look in pictures. There's always something we think can be improved, isn't there!
