Gone Fishin'

Evening my crafty friends and a warm welcome to my new followers.
Thank you all for sharing your time with me
and coming to see what I've been up to!
What a lovely weekend it's been. We've had fab weather here in Dorset so we've been outside lots. In fact it's been really quiet here as, despite the fractured ankle, the grumpy teenager couldn't stay away from his cricket, although in a scoring capacity only. He is supposed to abstain for another four weeks which means that he is also unable to drive until then so Mum and Dad's Taxi is still in business!!
Kids...life would be boring without them wouldn't it?!
Anyhow, I'll stop rambling now and share my card with you.

A hexagonal easel card today (at least I think it's a hexagon!) with Barry fishing, it also has a hidden tag. He was coloured with a Spectrum Noir and Promarker pens. I masked the clouds using a new Joy Clouds die set which made it really easy. The papers were scraps from previous cards.

The lettering on the little tag was stamped using an alphabet set from making memories.

It's a just for fun in support of the following challenges

Pink and blue for someone new

Good evening peeps. It's raining so instead of doing  outside
jobs I thought  I would be productive inside and share my card instead!!

I got Kraft Notes out again to compliment this cutie, Bobbi, from Digistamp Boutique. I coloured him with Promarkers and matted him on my current fave die. I punched a couple of flowers and popped card candi on the top of each one. The inspiration came from the following

Inky Impressions #114 - 3,2,1
(3 papers, 2 embellishments and 1 image)

I much appreciate you calling, and the lovely comments that you leave
are always well received and make me smile :0)

 See you soon xx
Morning peeps today marks the start of a new challenge over at

and we would like you to share your creations showing your three most
favourite embellishments and tell us why.  The sponsor this time is Dies to Die For.
 Here is my contribution....

I like to think that, on the whole, my style isn't too fussy so I generally include a ribbon, a die cut of some description and sometimes flowers depending on whether I am posting the card or not ( naughty Post Office have a lot to answer for!!). My stamp is new, as is the New Bloom paper pad. Shock! Horror!.... I coloured with Spectrum Noirs, which were a gift and ( I am ashamed to say) I have never used them until now. I added a seam binding ribbon, a resin flower from my stash and a die with a little stamped sentiment.

Anyhow enough rambling from me! Have a great day and if you have a mo go and have a peep at what my team mates have been up to!! xx

Good evening and I hope you have had a good day.
Back to work tomorrow so I thought I would share another card with you.

A CAS card AND I used purple (not a fave!!) despite these glitches I am really rather chuffed. I did try to include the super shiny, squeaky clean pony in the photo but she made a hasty retreat when she saw the camera...and I DID get very wet bathing her!!
I have used one of two Dreamees stamps (I am really impressed with them and they are so reasonably priced too!!)  that I bought on my trip to My Mum's Craft Shop and I paper pieced again.

I am joining in at the following challenges

Top Tip Tuesday #104 - Office supplies (staples)

Have a couple more cards to make for friends so off to look for some inspiration.

Cheerio for now xx

Strawberries

Hello crafty pals and I hope this finds you well.

I have a super cute little girlie card to share with you today, another request.
The image is Strawberry Girl. I paper pieced her little dress and coloured the remaining image with Promarkers. I had a sift through my scraps for  papers that, I think, were Nitwits Patchwork Christmas. A spotty bow and a sentiment and the jobs a good 'un.
I just hope Jo likes it for her Niece!

I am playing along with these challenges

Passion For Promarkers #204 - Name That Tune - Strawberry Fields Forever (loosely!)

That's all for now. I am off for a ride and  plan to bathe the horse afterwards which, in all probability, means me as well!! xx

Oh what a beautiful morning!! Wall to wall sunshine here in Dorset.....at the moment!

I have a very different (for Me) card to share today. When I was browsing over the weekend I found The CD Sunday Challenge Blog and it inspired me to get out the old CD Roms (Polka Doodles Sundae of Seasons  in this case). This is what I came up with coupled with the
Allsorts Challenge to use something not intended for crafting.
The theme was 'S' so Strawberry Shake & Sundae it is.

I recycled the side panel from a supermarket apple box and scored it to look like ice cream wafer to go with the sundae...yum!! Oh and I also made a little book mark with the remaining scrap of paper and final image!!

Thanks for stopping by, it's always appreciated. xx

Bloomers

Good Morning. A bright , cheery, summery card to share today.

The image was coloured with Promarkers, the papers are Doodlebug Flower Box and the sentiment was computer generated. I am entering the following challenges

Have a good one xx

Friend

Good Morning one and all. Hope you are enjoying your weekend whatever the weather!
This is the second card that I made yesterday and I am much happier with this one. It's the first time I have used this stamp and I think it's gorgeous. The image was coloured with Promarkers and cut out. I used a scrap of paper and embossed the chicken wire on to buff card and popped it on top. A simple sentiment and a bow with a metal charm attached, easy peasy and a very happy crafter!!

I am proud to be entering these challenges!!

That's it for now. Enjoy your Sunday  xx

Fantastic!!

Evening chaps, it's not been a great weather day so I have managed to hole up in the work room and make a couple of cards, what else is one to do!!?

This one scares me and I'm not actually sure that I like it very much, but my philosophy is if you never try you'll never know!! The moustache stamp and the chevrons were free (among others) with Get Stamping Magazine, which my Mum bought for me...bless! Never thought I would use them but I decided to have a go and based the card on the example in the mag. I am (reluctantly) playing along at the following....

(not sure now that my interpretation is correct-feel free to delete!)

Off to finish the second one which I shall share with you tomorrow.
Cheerio for now xx

Friday, 21 June 2013

Evening bloggers and I hope you are all happy and well.
I am sharing a card that I made just because I wanted to!! I decided to make an oblong base for the image. It's the first Sheena Douglas stamp that I've bought and thoroughly enjoyed using it.  It was coloured with Promarkers and I added some sea foam with a white sakura pen.

I am particularly pleased with the sea....thank goodness for Tea Green Promarkers!!

Per chance these lovely people have suitable challenges....

Thank you for the lovely comments you have been leaving lately, I appreciate every single one and love being able to reciprocate. Have a lovely weekend whatever you are doing xx
Here's one I made earlier!!

I made this card last night, inspired by the following challenges

The body of the card was made using a magazine freebie piece of fabulous floral paper, which wasn't strong enough in itself so I backed it with a piece of card for added strength.

And this is the tag, the sentiment comes from a Woodware set ( that I bought on my recent trip to My Mum's Craft Shop). I found a ribbon to match perfectly.

Have a great Friday!! xx

Thursday, 20 June 2013

Hello crafty buddies. a quick post before I leave for work.
I am sharing another summery card today ( we live in hope!). The image and sentiment are from here and coloured with Promarkers ( tropical orchid, pink carnation, pink lobster, cerise, cool aqua, duck egg, lagoon, sandstone, cocoa). Papers from Just so scrappy again. The flowers were scraps punched with a tonic flower punch and smaller ones added for dimension.

I am joining in with these challenges

Sunshine and Smiles

Good Afternoon Bloggers and a lovely one it is too...if a little thundery.
The blue sky has inspired me to create this summery card
which is also perfect for my cousin's little boy's Birthday which is coming up soon.

The image is a digi from Pollycraft (wonderful images & great value!) and I coloured him with Promarkers (what else?!), the papers are from Just so scrappy too (on offer at the mo-fantastic price!!). I attempted to use ink pads for the background, just don't look too closely!! A computer generated sentiment  and there you have it.....summer!!

I am joining in with these challenges
Papertake Weekly - Hot,Hot,Hot
Pollycraft Challenge #1 - Anything Goes
I Love Promarkers #173 - Anything Goes
Cards For Men - Boys will be boys
ABC Challenges - Summer

I have enjoyed my mid week weekend, back to work tomorrow, but I may get another card done this evening....who knows.

Cheerio for now and have a lovely evening xx

Tea for two

What a weird day it's been (weatherwise!) an almost tropical atmosphere this morning and a cool evening now. Still, at least it's not raining...at the moment.
I managed to grab myself a few minutes (after housework, animals, grumpy invalid teenagers and Husband were taken care of!!) to put this little gift bag together, which made a really nice change.
I used a bag template from Craft Artist (I'd forgotten how much there is on there!) and imported  a Nitwits paper. Then it was a case of print, cut out and stick.
I coloured the digi image with Promarkers and stuck on top of a doily. A little ribbon handle and a tag and job done. I think I might give it to Iris, who has just become a Grandma, I think the chamomile and apple teabags will go down a treat!!

I would also like to join in with the fun at

Off for a cuppa now then back to the work room for a little more creativity!!

Thanks for sharing your day with me xx
Pink for a girl

Not too bad a day back at work yesterday, nice and busy, so before I realized it was time to come home!!
Today I have a baby girl card to share with you to celebrate the birth of Freya Isobel, first Grand-daughter to a colleague. I haven't made a baby card for a while but this LOTV stamp is my "go to" one for girls. She was coloured with Promarkers. The papers are MME and the sentiment also LOTV. I used my Marianne Craftables dies again and did faux stitching this time. Ribbon and flowers to adorn!!

I am joining in with these challenges

Sunday, 16 June 2013

Evening everyone, hope you have had a good weekend. I am sad  :0(  as I have to go back to work tomorrow after a lovely week off....never mind all good things come to an end!!

We had a celebration this week as it was my lovely Husband's 50th Birthday and this was the card I made for him. The papers are from Just so scrappy which I have used before because they have one of my favourite colour combos, red, turquoise and brown. The image is from Doodle Pantry and I coloured it to look like Surprise!! I used a MFT die for the  sentiment which comes with the images.

He liked it ( thank goodness!!) and I hope you do too.
It fits the bill for these challenges......

Friday, 14 June 2013

Hello all. It's the weekend again. Where do the days go?!

I had a brilliant time at My Mum's Craft Shop on Wednesday, spent far too much but.....needs must!! Several new stamps, a couple of paper pads, some cardstock and some mulberry flowers found their way home with me so I will be putting them to good use in the near future!!

Today's card is another male one ( I am still trying really hard!) .

I used a super new digi from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps that I coloured with Spectrum Noirs for a change. Blue is the order of the day so I am playing along at these

Top Tip Tuesday #103 - Masculine
Paper Shelter - Blue and White
Charisma Cardz #23 - Digis only
Totally Papercrafts #171 - Feeling Blue
Polka Doodles - Male

I appreciate you taking the time to visit. x

Morning crafters.
Today marks the start of our new challenge at As You Like It.
We are inviting you to share your creations  showcasing your favourite papers.
This was a real toughie for me as I have  stacks of the stuff squirrelled away!
However, my current fave is a modest little pad from   Joy Crafts, floral paper bloc- red and turquoise
I just love this colour combo and the papers are so pretty.

For something a little different I made a little pocket card.
The inside is decorated also to help with the balance!!

Here's the close up of the tag, a stamped Creative Expressions sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will have a peep at what
my team mates have been up to and join us xx

Not such an ugly duckling!!

Morning peeps. Hope this finds you well.
I am sooo pleased with the little card I am sharing today. It's for a friend's Grandson who adores ducks - bless him. I made the centre stepper myself, although I doubt I can replicate it!! The image is Dilly Duck , coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from a 12x12 set by We Are Memory Keepers called Pewter Press that I bought years ago from shopping telly. I have used my wonderful new dies again Marianne Craftables CR1250 and CR1248, and hand stitched the circle, flower and leaves - it was time consuming but worth it, I think!!

And a couple of "arty shots"...get me!!

I am joining in the fun at
Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling
A Creative Romance #1 - Anything Goes

I am off to Dorchester today to My Mum's Craft Shop, will be taking a few Bags for Life with me!!
Whatever you are up to I hope you have a good day xx

Tuesday, 11 June 2013

Happy Tuesday and I hope it finds you well....
.......not so much here, our sport obsessed Son treated  Mummy to a day at A&E yesterday, he managed to tear ligaments and fracture his left ankle (and I thought cricket was a sedate game!!).
I just about had time for this quick creation last night. A  CAS card .

I have no idea where the stamp set came from ( a freebie I suspect) but thought they worked really well with the dotty embossed background and fit the criteria for the following challenges...

A Gem Of A Challenge #83 - Emboss it
Cupcake Craft Challenges #246 - June Bug
Penny Black and More - CAS

And here is a little June bug**r! The little rascal has acres and acres of lovely paddock to eat but each evening he visits for a chomp on my hebe shrubs in the garden!!

Anyway hopping off (get it-lol!) to do the chores I was meant to do yesterday.
Have a good day and Bye for now xx

Monday, 10 June 2013

Hello and so begins another week, no work for me though...yay!!
I am planning a visit to My Mum's Craft Shop as it is only a short drive away, so I shall let you know how dangerous a trip it was later on in the week - the debit card is sure to get a battering!!

I have been rummaging again and would like to share a card I made using another little gem that I had long forgotten, Stampavie - Baking a Treat. She was coloured with Promarkers. My Fine and Dandy paper pad was still on my desk so I used that again. I had a great die cutting session,  plain and scalloped circles, my lovely (new) Marianne border die CR1250 and a tab for the sentiment.
A ribbon and some little flowers to finish off.

I would like to join in the craftiness at the following challenges
Crafty Friends #2 - Bingo (Flowers, Ribbon, Diecuts)
Totally Papercrafts #170 - More than 3 punches or dies
A Little Bit Crafty - Something sweet (she is making yummy cake)
Stampin' for the weekend - Cute

Thanks for your visit, let me know you've called so I can return the compliment x

Circles & Scraps

Morning all. Hope the sun is shining on you today, a little dull here at the moment.

I thought I would test myself and not use a stamp or image for these challenges and incorporate both themes

......and this is what I did

The scraps were to be no bigger than 2" so I used appropriate sized nesties and cut out circles from various complimentary scraps then folded in half and glued back to back to create the balloons. I masked the edge of the card and used cut and dry and DI pads to create the scene. Needs practice but not too bad for a first attempt I thought!!

Apologies for the picture my photography skills have taken a nose dive again!!

Have a lovely day whatever you are doing x

Saturday, 8 June 2013

Hello and what a beautiful day it's been.

I am sharing a card made using this sketch from Card Crafter's Circle and the inspiration came from
I used a LOTV stamp coloured with Promarkers, papers are MME Fine and Dandy -  Girl, the little resin flowers were magazine freebies and the sentiments from Debbi Moore designs

Thanks for coming to see me x

Friday, 7 June 2013

Good Morning.......Friday at last!!
Today I am sharing a new stamp from here, coloured with Promarkers.
The papers were from a Hunkydory pack and I used layered SB edge dies in similar colours to compliment.
The lavish branch die was snipped to fit the corner
and a seam binding bow to finish.

A clearer view of the sentiments

I am joining in with the following challenges
Polka Doodles #22 - Purple (hope there's enough!!)

Have a good day and thanks for coming by x

Thursday, 6 June 2013

Good Morning one and all, nearly Friday!! I am still on my quest to make more male cards so here is another to share with you. I just LOVE Mo's digi image because it reminds me of my boys when they were little. They weren't always as successful as this little chap though....they used to blow sooo hard that the magic potion would just fall out of the ring with a splat!! He was coloured with Promarkers and
didn't need very much in the way of embellishing, other than some stickles for the bubbles (of course) and a couple of corner dies.

I am playing along with these

Wednesday, 5 June 2013

Hello crafty peeps. Hope you have had another lovely day wherever you are. It's been glorious here in Dorset and long may it continue....at least until the end of next week as I am on annual leave..Yay!!

I am sharing a girly, summery card this evening. The stamp was a magazine freebie, as were the papers and the inspiration for it came from here...

I shall put her safely away for the time being as I don't have any girl Birthdays on the horizon.

Thanks for calling, it's much appreciated x

Tuesday, 4 June 2013

Good afternoon where has today gone?! Oh well, I'm here to share another male card with you and it could be a Father's Day card or a Birthday card for Dad....you decide!!

The image is a digi stamp from here (a real sweetie!) coloured with promarkers. I found the perfect papers,by chance, while looking for something else. I think they were by Trimcraft. The sentiment came from a scrapbook kit and I added the knotted ribbon for a bit of added interest.

I am playing along with these challenges
Here come the boys ~53 - Use ribbon ( a tiny bit-hope it counts!!)

Had enough of outside today (mowing, weeding and making up
 my hanging baskets and pots)
so going to have a bit of crafty relaxation indoors!
Whatever you are doing have a lovely evening x

Monday, 3 June 2013

Good morning, Monday again! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We had a busy one so I had very little time to craft. However I did manage to put this together last night inspired by the following challenges

I used a Craftworks Cards base and tore strips of spotty paper ( Bo Bunny I think) for the sea and sand. I discovered the sky paper in a freebie paper pad from ages ago. The digi  image is from Jelly Park, and coloured with Promarkers...isn't she great!? I must confess to a hankering for a beach hut. We are fortunate enough to live about 30 minutes away from the coast and when my Sister and I were little Mum and Dad had a static caravan at West Bay (of Broadchurch fame!!) so we spent many happy holidays by the sea :0)
Anyway must stop waffling and reminiscing and get ready for work!!

Have a lovely day and see you soon x
