AYLI Floral or Cute

Morning All!!

Over at As You Like It Challenge it's Cute or Floral?

My longsuffering standing friends and followers will know the answer from me is CUTE!! I do have floral stamps that I use for grown up cards, from time to time, but mostly I will reach for a cute stamp or image. The reason...cute justs fit with my love of patterned papers, that are mostly contemporary in design, and the non fussy style that I favour.

Here is my cute inspiration for you, made using a rubber stamp set from our sponsor LOTV . Coloured with Promarkers and mounted behind some pretty Marianne Designs paper into which I had die cut port holes framed with coordinating paper.

I faffed about with sentiments, die cut ones, stamped ones and just wasn't happy so ended up with a very old, sweet little oval from Craftwork Cards. Just right, I think.

It looks like the weather is going to be good for the Easter Weekend. My word, didin't we have some rain earlier in the week, much needed in the garden actually and it meant Martin didn't need to water our six new £1.79 clematis that we picked up in Aldi last week...yes £1.79!!

I wish you all a peaceful and Happy Easter xx

Love your fabulous cuties, pretty paper and layout Sarah,a brilliant birthday card I love cute images but with mostly adult men in the family don't often get the chance to use them.

Love your LOTV Bunny trio Sarah, the DP is just right as is the sentiment. I have a load of those Craftwork card sentiments in the bottom of a box somewhere, must use them! Well done Martin on his bargain clematis, Aldi do have some fab bargains. :)

We all have our own styles Sarah and I always think that whilst it's good to stretch yourself it's more enjoyable to stick with what makes you happy. And you do this style so well and as I can't always enjoy seeing others who can.

Happy Easter, maybe a nice hack out in warmer weather.

You just can't beat LOTV images and you've put them to great use in this lovely cute card, Sarah. You have reminded me of some Craftwork Cards stash languishing in a cupboard and I must have a sift through to see what goodies are there.
Hope the bargain Clematis are doing well after the rain.
Hope you are well and had a lovely Easter.
Hugs

Hi Sarah, apologies for not commenting much, I always loose crafting time (which includes blogging) in school holidays and this Easter has been no exception! I will be around more now that TTT's back at school (though whether you see that as a good thing or a threat I don't know :-) ).

Your card is super cute - who doesn't love LoTV - and you've done them proud. I tend to go for the cute person image, rather than cute animal or flowers. I do like colouring hair and skin! I also have rather a lot of those Craftwork Cards sentiment toppers, but don't really use them much at all anymore.

Hope you had a good Easter.
